Gerald Wilson is many things composer, arranger, bandleader, storyteller, icon, legend. In fact the only constant about Gerald Wilson in his 60 plus year career - which spans over 50 releases - has been his drive and determination to remain innovative. MONTERAY MOODS is his third for Mack Avenue following the Grammy-nominated NEW YORK SOUND and his critically acclaimed IN MY TIME. MONTERAY MOODS commemorates the Golden Anniversary of one of the preeminent Jazz festivals in our history - it is also a musical work of art from one of the great Jazz composers of our time.
