I have one of these in about each room in my house. We use it mostly for white noise to sleep but it cleans well. The replacements are not really expensive either. It has a few different power settings, the highest one is LOUD and blows out alot of air. Easy to take the cartridge off and clean.

for decades i had the ionic breeze and very happy .. but also move to different rooms to use .. i got this to test and is easier to move than the bigger one ... the first thing i notice is ,, you donna know if the light is on or working ,, you cannot see if it is lit , unless you take off the back as if to replace the bulb meebe .. which i not done yet .. having a fan and having to change filters loses stars .. it will work as an air filter and i will use depending situation ,,, but have no idea if it really kills them bad jermmy .. and you are suppose to replace the bulb even if it is not burnt out .. after a certain amount of use .. so to sum it all up ,, is why i did not buy a large biggie full size one .. to play with .. at lot more cost ..

All I can say is best investment I've made this has been a tough year for me with allergies & I could not get a full nights sleep. Went to Dr & was prescribed Meds that worked momentarily. I purchased this purifier & after the 1st night coughing subsided. I ran it for a few days with no problem then I turned it off to see if I would start coughing & I did. So since then I have been running it for two weeks cough free. I am purchasing a couple more for the whole house. Definintely have been marketing to others. Thanks Germguardian

The filter doesn't lie! So nasty! Only problem is that it if it's on it is loud and like a fan.

Small and compact easy to use blows out fresh air and also ionizes and kills germs. Only makes a small amount of noise to be put it on high and it gets the job done and not too expensive.

After waiting for about 10 days eating smoke, we found that larger models were sold out so found this one. Actually, we probably did better to get this one than something larger and more costly. The smoke was from the terrible wine country fires and it all blew directly south, seemingly into our house thru closed windows & doors. We put this on at full blast (3) or setting 2 in successive rooms to clean them out. It worked very well and after 3 days felt comfortable in having a friend stay over without his lungs getting clogged. We expect to use it occasionally on days below 50 degrees to freshen the air with the windows closed.

It works great. I originally was going to use one in the front of the house and one in the rear. This seems to work for both. I keep it in the back of the house. I don't run it 24/7. I use it as needed. If after cooking, I can smell the food, I'll turn it in. If the cats litter box smells, I'll turn it on. I don't smoke, but was in a smoky environment. Just to test it, I hung my shirt in the same room as the air purifier for about and hour and the smell was gone. For everything I've used it for, it works well. The only negative I have is that it's not as quiet as I expected. I have a central HVAC system, but I'd compare the sound (highest setting) to a window or hotel room AC unit. It's louder than I prefer.

This purifier works better than I originally anticipated. I purchased 2 for my ~1500 sq ft home. It worked so well, I only kept one and gave the second to my girlfriend. It cleans dust and smells (cat litter). It works well. The only reason I gave it 4, instead of 5 stars, is because it is louder than expected. I have central air conditioning, but it reminds me of the sound (volume) of window air unit.

not too noisy, keeps the air clean. there is a slight carbon smell if you get too close to it from the filter

My husband is a cigarette smoker and I hate when he smokes inside the house. The smell of it would stick to my dress - dread it so much. I have house fresheners all over but still have that cigarette smell on my dress. So, I looked online how I could geat rid of the smell. Thanks GermGuardian for the awesome job. Been using this for a couple of weeks now and I'd say job well-done. I don't smell the cigarette in the house. Works great, for me.

Solid machine does as advertised! You can definitely tell the difference in air quality after 10-15 minutes in a room andecor does cool the room down a bit just by moving the air. Loud on the highest setting but nothing outrageous. Very good purchase!

I wanted to have better air quality in my small bedroom and this unit did the trick. It has 3 speeds and I only use the fastest speed when I'm out of the room with the door closed, as the top speed make more noise. I have a cat so there's lots of hair in the air. It also removes bad orders quickly. I will also buy a larger version for my living room soon.

Purchased this unit after Xmas 2019 due to our satisfaction with our Germ Guardian AC4825. The unit seems to work well in terms of air purification, but it is definitely noisier than our 4825 unit, even on the lowest setting. It is also more difficult to determine if the the UV light function is on and working compared to our other unit. You can see a glimmer of the light if you look directly into the front grill of the unit, versus the clear upper panel that lights up visibly on the AC4825. Both units have very convenient access to the filters on the back side. The noise level is the main issue as we are using this unit in the bedroom for our children.

I bought this for my bedroom to help cut down on dust and dog hair. Works well. It does produce noise but I didn't have any problems with that personally- kind of used to the white noise now. Helped cut down on dusting. Only complaint is it dries the air a bit but otherwise happy with the purchase.

Seems to have improved the pet odor and dander quite a bit. Noticed decrease in dust. And not too bad noise level. Higher speeds are quite noticeable but I have mine in conjunction with a home kit enabled switch to run three hours in the middle of the night daily.

Ordered this based on high reviews. Works well for a medium sized bedroom. Room was noticeably less dusty after 2 days of running continuously. It was very easy to set up out of box. There was a plastic type smell for the first 24 hours however. On its lowest setting, the noise is still a bit on the loud side compared to another air purifier i have in another bedroom. Not a problem if you prefer white noise while sleeping, maybe even a good thing for babies to sleep better. Happy with my purchase thus far. The fact that the filter replacements do not cost too much is a plus.

I'm using it in my bedroom at around 150ft square, more than this product is rated. It does as good or better job than anticipated. I would recommend it. Just change out the filter as recommended. I've had ionizers for years. They're good but this seems a bigger bang for the buck. The ionizers always required cleaning and the air never seemed as clean as this. This product just requires a filter change. I'd buy an extra filter at purchase and change it before recommended. The first filter will have the hardest time of it. My formally dusty bed room is clean as a doctors office.

Good product bought 2. Ine for my room one for my kids. Does a good job with pet odors and dust. My asthma and allergies have improved with this product. Only negative is it is a bit loud

We bought this when we moved to a new location with a new set of allergens in the air. It's pretty unobtrusive, sits on a dresser pretty unnoticeable. We have noticed a big difference in the amount of congestion my son wakes up with every day. We run it all night, it's a bit noisy, but not bad on low. He's gotten used to it, now it creates a kind of ambient noise in his room. Very low maintenance, just plug it in and tun it on.
