A: i happened to have upgraded this last month and kept the old RAM stick that came with the laptop. here is the exact RAM that was preinstalled in this laptop. samsung DDR5 SODIMM 8GB.

If you still have the 4800mhz stick it will bring down the speed of the other stick to match the speed of the lowest speed memory in the PC. A: Hi User, Yes you can use the kit of ram, however note there is 8gb inside currently and if you decide to upgrade. You will need to remove the current 8gb to have a total of 32gb in the laptop.
