Possibly the band's most musically adventurous effort, Magic leans heavily on keyboards, giving it a sleek, polished sound. It stands as one of Gillan's most intriguing records. Lyrically, the album follows a central theme Ian Gillan was mapping out his next steps. This expanded edition comprises of two discs. Disc one features the original Magic album including eight original tracks, co written by Ian Gillan and Colin Towns, along with a cover of Stevie Wonder's 1973 hit Living for the City. Disc two features eight B sides, album outtakes and an Ian Gillan solo single released in 1988 called South Africa. All this bonus material is appearing for the first time on vinyl.
