Expanded edition of Gillan's final studio album • Features eight b onus tracks appearin g for the first time on vinyl • Pressed on 140g r ed vinyl in gatefold sleeve Magic is the sixth and final studio album by the English rock band Gillan, released in September 1982. Possibly the band's most musically adventurous effort, Magic leans heavily on keyboards, giving it a sleek, polished sound. It stands as one of Gillan's most intriguing records. Lyrically, the album follows a central theme Ian Gillan was mapping out his next steps. The concepts explored here revolve around escape and rebirth fitting, as shortly after Magic's and supporting tour, the band disbanded, and Ian Gillan went on to join Black Sabbath for their Mk II reunion shows. This expanded edition comprises of two discs. Disc one features the original Magic album including eight original tracks, co written by Ian Gillan and Colin Towns, along with a cover of Stevie Wonder's 1973 hit Living for the City. Disc two features eight B sides, album outtakes and an Ian Gillan solo single released in 1988 called South Africa. All this bonus material is appearing for the first time on vinyl. Now available on 140g red vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve.

Don Gibson was a country singer and songwriter, whose influence and impact was achieved not only through his own hit singles, but also those by other artists who recorded his songs. He came to prominence in the mid-1950s, so was not part of the honky-tonk tradition that was established in the immediate post-war decade, his music having a more modern and contemporary flavour, occasionally transcending the divide between country and mainstream pop and rock 'n' roll. Perhaps his best-known song was InchI Can't Stop Lovin' YouInch, a No. 7 hit for him in 1958, but a worldwide No. 1 for Ray Charles a few years later. His first country No. 1 InchOh Lonesome MeInch, was also a pop hit for other artists in both the USA and UK. His US No.2 InchSea Of HeartbreakInch was a UK pop hit in 1961. This great value 58-track 2-CD collection, with extensive booklet notes plus comprehensive discographical, chart, session and personnel information, comprises all his A & B sides for Columbia, MGM and RCA during the decade from 1952-62. It includes more than 20 country and pop chart entries, among them the No. 1s InchOh Lonesome MeInch and InchBlue Blue DayInch. It's a fine showcase for his distinctive talent.
