A complete album of duets with Mark 'Sparky' Phillips of Demented Are Go. The Hillbilly Moon Explosion are a modern rock'n'roll band. With six albums under their belt, they tour the world with their authentic take on the roots of the wide genre of rock. They comprise two Englishmen abroad - Oliver Baroni, double bass & vocals, and Duncan James, guitar; a French drummer Sylvain Pettitte, and their captivating Italian/Swiss chanteuse, Emanuela Hutter. Building on their live gigs, in recent years they've become an online and vinyl phenomenon, with many tens of millions of Youtube viewers - in particular on distinctive duets with Sparky Phillips of psychobilly band Demented Are Go. Now an entire album of duets with the InchWelsh Tom WaitsInch is issued, including 'Jackson' and the 'My Love For Evermore' vinyl and video hit. Seven new tracks are added to the previous Sparky collaborations. The Hillbilly Moon Explosion toured the USA in 2018 and again in 2019, culminating at the 'Viva Las Vegas' rockabilly festival.

Serendipia Ensemble, Rita Rogar and Moises Maroto, together with their ensemble of musicians, Dario Tamayo on the harpsichord, Calia alvarez on the viola da gamba, Jose Arsenio Rueda on the baroque bassoon and Jon Wasserman exchanging his plucked string instruments (theorbo and baroque guitar), have recorded the complete sonatas. Premiering worldwide with the record tag IBS Classical. With this large continuo group, Serendipia Ensemble seeks a unique musical approach to the concept of the triosonata. Finding the common ground between the concerto form conceived by Corelli and the sonata form arranged by Schickhardt. We are now able to hear, with layering of different instruments, the triosonatas approach the concerti in sections such as the tutti-soli that we appreciate in the corellianos originals.

An all-instrumental album replete with razor edge guitar that pushes to the outer edges of generic description. Kicking off with the title track which opens with a compulsive metallic figure that insinuates itself immediately, the track bursts into almost an indie rock chorus in it's B section to be followed by a quirky fuzzed out guitar solo that rises and rises -until it merges back into the song like choruses that take us out. Tracks in the middle of the album Qualia and How Long is Now are loaded with freaky almost Balinese textures. These compositions- exotic as they are - retain a sunny mood, rather than the darkness that is associated with so much loop style music. This feeling is carried further by Summers in the following track Harmonograph which opens with a guitar solo that pierces the honeyed texture like an arrow- eventually falling into a wild blanket of harmonic distortion for a that is like bathing in warm waters. Ishango Bone the fourth track on the album presents a seemingly simple guitar figure that snakes along in what might seem to be a dark and primitive landscape, but then falls into what might be a radiant valley indicated by the soaring guitar and then- as if night falls - returns to the primal source from which it emerged. There are many other track on Metal Dog that highlight Summers innate guitar skill but more importantly these tracks illustrate the use of the instrument to achieve a modern guitar music that is fresh and challenging and a style that pushes past the standard ideas of genre. At turns lyrical, dark and cinematic the result is one of intrigue and ultimate reward.
