If you're debating on whether to get this model Nest or the one with stainless steel, the only difference is color/material (plastic). That's it. Save yourself almost $100 and get this one. It still lets you control your temp from your phone, create schedules, connects to separate temperature sensors– everything you're wanting to accomplish by having a smart thermostat. I actually prefer this color because it blends in with the wall more. Set up is a breeze and works great.

I have used nest products before. The E nest Thermostat is awesome and affordable and looks great on my wall. Very easy to install, just follow the instructions and you will have it set up in minutes. Looks great, simple to use, would highly recommend this product over the more expensive one.

Easly installed in less than 15minutes. Connected right up with Google mini. Took till next day to connect to Alexa, but finally it did. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. I’m extremely pleased with this Nest Thermostat.

Very easy to install, READ THE DIRECTIONS!! It is very easy to install and use the Nest Thermostat with the app. I actually thought I didn’t want one that much but my techy son got one and he went on and on about it blah blah. HE WAS RIGHT ( as usual ) don’t tell him please. This Nest is awesome. We love it, my wife and I. She used to get her phone light to see what the old thermostat read lol. Now just walk within a few feet and it glows softly the room temp. I love the energy reports on my phone. I also got an instant $100 rebate from our electric utility company. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Have a second home that we set the Nest thermostat higher (Eco) during the week. As we drive to second home, we turn AC to cool home that is perfect when we arrive. We we leave our main home, we have a Nest thermostat at that home as well, adjusting to “Away” and back when returning home. Love that it lights up when you pass (and can be turned off). Too hot or cold during the night? Just reach over and adjust temperature. Love this Nest thermostat!

Extremely easy to install and use. If you have trouble with install, customer service can walk you thru step by step. Can use app on phone to control from anywhere you are. Pre programmed for energy efficiency. Depending on where you live, the electric company will send you a discount coupon when you buy one.

This is a very nice product & does work well. Looks very sleek & it was simple to install. So why not 5 stars? While this thermostat is loaded with many great features. It is missing some very basic ones. Like a permanent hold (or vacation hold) mode. And a temporary hold that you can set the duration for (like if you just want it for the next 30 minutes). It simply amazed me to learn that these very basic functions are missing. It can do so many things & seems like this would be simple to add into the programming. But apparently Nest just refuses to do this. Despite all the pros (and there are many) of this thermostat. I have decided to go back to my old Honeywell WiFi thermostat that has these basic features.

I love my new thermostat! The new look on my wall is great! I can control the temp with a app I have on my phone from my bed!

Overall great. I use it with my Google Home, so I pretty much just yell across the room and it works. The learning aspect is a little goofy but I assume there’s a little bit of a learning curve.

Yep these are plastic but look so great, a nice little modern touch in the beach condo!! The old thermostat was from the 70s, dirty and horrible looking, installation was a breeze. I can keep an eye on the crazy HVAC habits of my weekly renters lol, I can lock it to a range so they can’t turn it below 68 and raise my bills, and this certainly beats driving 200 miles just to turn it off.

Electric bills here in AZ are outrageous. I got a $60 rebate for the Nest and hope to see my energy bills drop. I am using the eco mode with Home/Away Assist so the AC is not running when we aren't here but also not getting to far away from our temps so it isn't over working either. Time will tell but so far good. Install was pretty straight forward (be sure to turn off your power) and they look great on the wall. Much better looking and nicer interface than most standard thermostats homes come with. App is good but not great but nice part is the thermostats and app can always get updates.

I have three nests at home, all generations, and I had to replace one that burned from a malfunction on my AC. I choose this one because it has all the most important features for me and a better price. It is for my basement; it allows the remote control from your phone and the schedule.

Easy installation and setup. Major upgrade from the basic thermostat previously installed in home. Great features and functionality. Love the ability to set a schedule, as well as set a range for the temp in the house.

Looks great on the wall. Glad they came out with this concept as the original one was just too noticeable. One big selling point is you don’t need a 5th wire to supply power as it has a battery in it. Yes in know the naysayers will say you need to replace it. But it’s much cheaper that hiring someone to install the power. There is a bit of a learning curve but that also depends on the person. Has all the smart features you need to get up and running.

Love it! So easy to use, we where thinking on getting this or the expensive one lol. But we got this and great choice!

I totally love this thermostat. I love the fact that I can monitor the temperature and turn off/on my a/c unit...especially from a remote location.
