Given this phone's use of "stock Android" I'd had it in mind for quite a while. It was not easy to find at Verizon stores—perhaps Google is about to introduce its replacement. But I was able to find it at Best Buy and I'm glad I did. The Pixel is light-years beyond the (admittedly ancient) Samsung phone I replaced it with. I suppose if I were a gamer I'd want a phone with a more powerful processor. But the Pixel is fast enough for my purposes—hugely faster than the old Samsung. The fact that it had the latest Android version installed was a selling-point, not to mention the guarantee of upgrades of the next several Android versions. Most of the phone's "native" apps for it are very well designed. Among the outstanding bundled software: The voice recorder, which has a surprisingly accurate speech-to-text feature enabling you to transcribe someone else's spoken words into plain text (works even with, say, YouTube videos); the Lens app that enables you to aim the camera at a printed page—even something on-screen—and select the text _as_ plain text. These are features I'll use constantly. Google's keyboard app is top-notch, and the phone's speech-to-text accuracy is amazingly good. (I'm gratified that I don't have to be online to get that kind of accuracy.) The phone's fingerprint scanner is very well designed and very convenient. People rave about the Pixel's photo capabilities. I doubt I'll be using them much but it's good to know that they put a lot of work into image processing and came up with a superior result. Finally, kudos to the phone for still having an audio jack. That aside, one glitch: For whatever the reason I cannot get a perfectly functional MPOW headset to work with the Pixel. Good sound through the earphones—but the headset's boom mic is not recognized by the phone. Nobody can figure out why and I had to give up on that. Unfortunate, but not a deal-breaker. Highly recommended. You get a lot of bang for the buck with this phone.

Very good phone but no instructions. Your on your own. I am upgrading from a pixel 2 and if you can figure it out it will work very similarly butt it comes with gesture inputs that are not explained anger are not intuitive. Took me a long time to figure out how to enable the so called push button inputs which are pretty much the same as the pixel 2

I upgraded from a Pixel 2 XL and so far love the new Pixel. The camera is great. Best Buy did a great job in helping transfer all my information from the old phone to the new one!

Bought this phone for myself after having an Apple 7. Going Google is a change, but ordering the phone was easy and pickup at the Encinitas location was safe.

Previously had the 4a but exchanged it for this because I wanted a bigger screen. Excellent phone. I just wish the pixel 5 had a bigger screen

Good : Bought the phone from the google fi store and used it with their service. It worked perfectly for 8 months and was very happy with the regular patches. Service was not an issue and worked well. Bad : Issues started with the phone over heating. Called google store and was sent from one group to another. Finally landed with google fi and they mentioned that the phone is a safety concern and will send over a replacement. They also mentioned that they cannot take the replacement back first since the RMA was issued for the original phone and would be out of a phone for the second time. This is the 3rd call and still no link from google to order a replacement. I have collectively spent 3+ hrs on the phone and 2 weeks without one. Oh, and on a fun note, they send a refurbished phone but place an hold for the full amount of a new phone on your credit card. BUYER BEWARE
