Gordon of Ghost City - DVD

Cattle rustlers, a ghost town and a mysterious man are at the center of this 12 chapter, action-packed, Pre-Code Universal movie serial. Hired by a rancher to discover who's been rustling his cattle, Buck Gordon finds himself also coming to the aid of a beautiful girl and her prospector grandfather, when their gold mine comes under the threat of being stolen by a mysterious villain

Snipers' bullets rip into Dan McCall, and his jalopy careens over the side of a cliff. McCall's assailants seek the $10,000 in cash he carried. Ace rifleman "Cheyenne" Harry Morgan scares the villains off with a volley of buckshot, and he promises the dying man to protect the cash. The ambushers frame Morgan for their crime, and the sheriff tosses him into jail and hides the money. This makes the peace officer an easy target for the bad

From high school rebel in The Breakfast Club to prep school impersonator, Judd Nelson's (Blue City) irreverent brand of humor is prominently on display in Making The Grade. Rich, preppy Palmer Woodrow (Dana Olsen, The Burbs) would much rather be skiing in Europe than attending Hoover Academy prep school, which provides Palmer with his last shot at graduating. As it turns out Palmer is more motivated than anyone imagines. Enter Eddie Keaton (Nelson), a low-rent con artist in need of cash and on the run from a loanshark (Andrew Dice Clay, Blue Jasmine). With $10,000 and a Porsche courtesy of Palmer, Eddie assumes his identity. Hoover Academy will never be the same. Making The Grade, directed by Dorian Walker (Teen Witch) from a screenplay by Gene Quintano based on a story by Quintano and Charles Gale, co-stars Jonna Lee (Chained Heat), Gordon Jump (House Calls) and Ronald Lacey (Raiders of the Lost Ark).
