These Govee lights hook up instantly to Google Home and they work consistently with Google Assistant. Other brands that we have in the house can be inconsistent,but these are constantly consistent. Most of the lights in the house are now being replaced with Govee. Govee's own app can be a little messy, but that's only initial setup when playing with the strip, however the messiness is due to all the functionality it offers. There are many scenes and creating a color scheme let's you personalize how you would like
