About this product

Grand Theft was a one-shot explosion of heavy rock madness out of Seattle in 1972. What began as a tongue-in-cheek jab at the bombast of bands like Grand Funk Railroad quickly spiraled into something raw, real, and entirely their own. Dave Baroh's snarling guitar riffs, Kevin Marin's thunderous bass, and Phil Klitgaard's primal yet sharp drumming cut through like a cracking whip on a stormy night.Their sole LP, recorded in a single chaotic session, captures a moment of unfiltered energy. Tracks like InchScream (It's Eating Me Alive)Inch and InchCloser to Herfy'sInch erupted from caffeine-fueled late nights, inside jokes, keen wit, and a new devotion to abrasiveness. With radio DJ/manager Burl Barer steering the mayhem, the album gained regional buzz, a Inchdream dateInch promo contest, and even praise from Lester Bangs.Live performances were rare-spontaneous, earsplitting blitzes-but Grand Theft's legend grew long after the band dissolved. What began as a fleeting joke became a proto-metal curiosity, a wild card in the deck of early '70s rock. Grand Theft remains a testament to rock's untamed spirit and a primal scream in the face of convention.

The Police - Synchronicity - VINYL LP
5.0(2)

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. The fifth and final studio album by The Police, Synchronicity was released in June 1983, and was the band's most successful . Despite it's pop-oriented and experimental than either Ghost in the Machine or Zenyatta Mondatta, Synchronicity made The Police global superstars, generating no less than five classic hit singles. 'Every Breath You Take', 'King of Pain', 'Wrapped Around Your Finger', and 'Synchronicity II'. The album's title and much of the material for the songs were inspired by Arthur Koestler's The Roots of Coincidence. At the 1984 Grammy Awards the album was nominated for a total of five awards including Album of the Year.

Grapetooth - Grapetooth - VINYL LP

Limited 180gm colored vinyl LP pressing. Concocting a freshly strange blend of synth pop and damaged folk music, Grapetooth is a band from Chicago, IL that consists of Chris Bailoni and Clay Frankel. The two don't remember clearly how they met, but Frankel, home from tour with garage rock outfit Twin Peaks, began dropping in at Bailoni's residence in the winter of 2015. The two began writing spontaneous songs in Bailoni's synth-laden bedroom studio, which had long stood as the base of operations for his own wonderfully weird solo and producer work as Home-Sick. The album captured a feeling the duo happily felt was somewhere between the doomy disco of 80's new wave and the woozy laments of artists like Arthur Russell and Jeff Cowell. It contains songs about death and love and the movie Badlands and more than a few songs about wine.
