Graveyard - Fever - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Loud As Laughter is a thrashing, wild beast of a track - frightening in it's intensity (think Arab on Radar meets Throbbing Gristle). Listening to it brings back memories of an episode of Soviet-era cartoon Nu Pogodi - the one where the main character ends up in a rocket and is shaken in a violent simulation of an astronaut's experience... There's a reason why it hits so hard - Psychic Graveyard features the noise rock scene's creme da la creme in it's ranks. - I HEART NOISE Noise Rock pioneers, Eric Paul (Arab On Radar, Chinese Stars, Doomsday Student), Paul Vieira (The Chinese Stars, Doomsday Student), and Nathan Joyner (Some Girls, All Leather, Hot Nerds) venture through uncharted territory with their new band, Psychic Graveyard. Nathan Joyner's grinding synths and Inchfound soundInch buries the seed of each song deep into the fertile ground - while Paul Vieira's manic, fuzzed-out guitars and Eric Paul's obsessive lyrics shower the proceedings with equal parts sunshine and rain.01. 2012 , the second album from the Bloomington, Indiana-based Psych/Garage/Alt-Rock band. Magically combining bubblegum pop and heavy guitar jams sauced with a blue collar Midwestern sensibility while still maintaining the best elements of Ohio Express or 1910 Fruitgum Company's silliness, Apache Dropout reveal a poppy-laced reality and a warped sense of rage over an oppressively flat and banal landscape - not to mention fortune telling candy bars and Undead Jughead too!

Vinyl LP pressing. 2018 . Vivian Leva's voice is the sound of living tradition. Raised by parents who paid visits to old-time legends like Tommy Jarrell and Doug Wallin, she grew up steeped in the Appalachian and country music of her Lexington, VA home. With her debut solo recording Time Is Everything, Leva earns a spot in the lineage of great neo-traditional songwriters like Gillian Welch and Sarah Jarosz. It's clear that Leva possesses a sense of melody and storytelling well beyond her years. She finds inspiration in classic storytellers like Kitty Wells and Texas Gladden, the harmony singing of the Stanley and Everly Brothers, and the pop sensibilities of Mandolin Orange; her originals effortlessly shift between archaic ballads, classic country and honky tonk, and contemporary Americana. Riley Calcagno (The Onlies) and other top-notch collaborators add to the album's tastefully minimal production, imbuing each story of love and heartbreak with a hearty emotional punch. Time Is Everything is a bold statement from this rising star.
