Green Carnation - Journey To The End Of The Night - VINYL LP

The debut album by the spearheads of Doom Metal On their debut InchJourney To The End Of The NightInch, Green Carnation (who back then featured illustrious guest musicians such as the Botteri twins from In The Woods... and Vibeke Stene from Tristania) combine Black, Death, Doom, and Heavy Metal to a unique style that is hard to compare to other bands. At best, you could describe the Psychedelic Doom Metal on InchJourney...Inch as a cross between Pink Floyd and Candlemass.

Palester / Krupa / Zdunik - Muzyka Kameralna 1 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

This album is the latest installment in the series of recordings of compositions by Roman Palester, which have been produced by the University of Warsaw Foundation in cooperation with the University of Warsaw Library. Following on discs devoted to Palester's chamber works for two violins, his piano compositions, and his string quartets, this recording presents works for string trio, violin and cello, and for string trio with oboe. As with the majority of Palester's oeuvre, these works have never been previously recorded and the scores of most of the remain unpublished. The autograph manuscripts of these works are held by the University of Warsaw Library, to whom they were given by the composer in his will. During Palester's lifetime, on the String Trio No. 2 was published (but this edition, by the Italian Suvini Zebroni is effectively impossible to find today). The Sonata for Cello and Violin was most likely no performed during Palester's lifetime. The remaining works were performed sporadically and were sometimes performed for radio broadcast; they however have little traction amon performers or contemporary audiences.

Ended - Into The Nothing - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Ended's third album 'Into The Nothing' is an artistic triumph that affirms the band's place among the Scandinavian masters of melodic metal. Riffs are dark and sinister, guitar solos blazing, vocals soaring above the crushing beat of the rhythm section. The real strength of 'Into The Nothing' is evident already within the opening verses of the album, where dual voices and melodies meet above thundering waves of tuned down guitars and thrashing drums - almost cinematic. Painting landscapes and setting the scene for narratives of political conspiracies, human pride, spiritual awakening, the birth of new generations and death of human civilization. Clocking in over the hour, this colossus of melodic metal takes the listener on a journey through light and darkness. The delivery is as energetic as the bands live shows. What also makes Ended unique is the way the band combines dire metal riffs and progressive mind bends with ascending harmonies and acoustic elements that resemble the lighter side of prog rock. The members have been releasing music under the name Ended since 2014 debut album 'About to Fall'. The band shifted gears when recruiting singer Micky Bergqvist in 2016, settling on a more powerful sound than ever before. The new album is nothing less than a continuous leap in the same direction. As for the protagonist of the title track, the time has come to embrace this dark and twisted symphony. The time has come to step Into the Nothing.
