A: Hello Manu, We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your string trimmer. The cord should only be breaking at the tip where the cut-off blade on the guard is. If the trimmer line is breaking in the middle, often this is due to the trimmer being used incorrectly. It is advised to only trim with the tip of the line, and avoid stones, walls, and other hard objects. If you are using the side of the line and not the tip to trim, this will cause premature breakage. To extend more line, you must bump the unit off the ground while it is running. A: Hello Bellisteros - We do not recommend using any string trimmer to pruning hedges. It creates an added danger of projecting heftier trimmings. Lifting the trimmer up to cut taller plants makes the guard ineffective, increasing the risk of injury to the operator's face.
