Greys - If Anything - VINYL LP

Limited vinyl LP pressing including . 2016 . Outer Heaven is a massive leap forward for Toronto post-punks Greys. Delivering on the promises made on 2015's Repulsion EP, the band tempers their trademark onslaught of discordance with new textures and subtle dynamics, building a more spacious and melody-driven environment atop their noise rock foundation. They fearlessly explore every extreme, simultaneously delivering their most intense and accessible moments, often within the same song. InchWe never want to do just one thing,Inch says frontman Shehzaad Jiwani. InchWe want to incorporate as many disparate sounds as possible, yet still have it sound like the same band.Inch This bold approach saw them return to Montreal to record at the hallowed Hotel 2 Tango studio (Arcade Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor) with longtime producer Mike Rocha, giving heavy hitters like InchBlown OutInch and first single InchNo StarInch unprecedented atmospheric depth while never compromising the band's characteristic cacophony. The young quartet stretches it's limbs like never before on more delicate tracks like InchErosion,Inch where Jiwani sings softly over Cam Graham's delicate guitar, recalling the dream pop qualities of early Deerhunter or late-period Unwound. Elsewhere, on InchSorcerer,Inch bassist Colin Gillespie and drummer Braeden Craig launch an unrelenting yet hypnotic assault that falls somewhere between Sonic Youth and Portishead. With ten tracks at just under forty minutes, Greys raise the bar for what is expected of a punk band in the 21st century.

Curacao Blue Transparent Vinyl. In a strange way, this feels like a second debut, we have the same excitement and nervousness around releasing it, like it's the first step of the band's career.Inch While she Sleeps' youthful inspirations have taken to the forefront on SELF HELL. Drawing inspiration from an array of artists outside the typical metalcore scene, each member has brought in a different perspective so far apart in genre - from Kendrick Lamar and Aphex Twin to Janes Addiction and Placebo - that it has created a diverse and satisfying sonic palette. On past records, the weight of the writing process rested on a few members. SELF HELL is a reimagined version of the band where the combination of each member's desires and ideas created a musical fusion. The name of the album is the foundation of how the band view themselves and the world. InchEveryone has a subjective experience like no other. Yet the constant that binds us, is the differences between us and the fact that we are all suffering in our own way.Inch While She Sleeps will continue to keep the world guessing on what they will do next. InchThis is a spiritual venture that we have to keep alive, moving, and constantly in flux. We do this by scaring ourselves with things we are not supposed to do.Inch
