Q: Kazoo iPod Touch case "for new iPod touch"
A: Thanks so much for choosing KaZoo to protect your iPod touch! Those openings are for the camera and lanyard attachment that are on some earlier models of 5th generation iPod touch. However, Apple has since released newer iPods without the camera or lanyard features. All other aspects of the case are identical, so you shouldn't have any problems from the standpoint of protection. Hope that helps!
