Guest House - BLU-RAY [Standard]

Affianced Sarah (Aimee Teegarden) and Blake (Mike Castle) thought their lives were starting when they bought that dream property in the L.A. burbs, but there was something the inspection should have turned up-the prior owner's stoner buddy Randy (Pauly Shore), squatting in the guest cottage and with no intentions of going anywhere. Strap in for the raucous and raunchy war of wills in this throwback funfest co-starring Billy Zane, Steve-O, Chris Kattan, and Lou Ferrigno (Sr. And Jr.). 84 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

In the tradition of the Palm Beach Story and It Happened One Night - the great Sam Wood (The Devil and Miss Jones) directs this screwball romantic comedy starring Claudette Colbert (Since You Went Away) and her Midnight co-star Don Ameche (Moon Over Miami) about a wild marital mix-up. Determined to impress his old-fashioned sentimental boss, a quick-thinking unmarried foreign correspondent (Ameche) talks his best friend's bride (Colbert) to pose as his wife. When the hoax gets hopelessly out of hand, he nearly ruins the couple's honeymoon and their marriage. The Guest Wife is practically a hidden treasure from Hollywood's heyday of screwball comedies with two legendary stars and a great supporting cast of Charles Dingle, Grant Mitchell, Chester Clute and Richard Foran as Colbert's husband and Ameche's best friend. Beautifully shot in glorious black-and-white by Joseph A. Valentine (Shadow of a Doubt).

Travelling to antebellum Dixie to claim his family estate, hapless heir Willie McKay (Buster Keaton) learns he's also inherited a long-standing feud with the clan of his new girlfriend (Natalie Talmadge, Keaton's real-life wife). A daring rescue performed by Buster at a waterfall is just one of the amazing stunts in this energetic silent romp. With Joe Keaton, Joe Roberts.
