H.C. McEntire - Eno Axis - VINYL LP

Narratively, H.C. McEntire's Eno Axis is about finding direction in the natural world, and following love. Sonically, it's an album shaped enormously by the atmosphere it was recorded in-the crew's synergy and positivity.

If naming is a form of claiming, of being claimed, how is one tethered to both the physical landscape that surrounds us, as well as our own internal emotional landscape-at times calm, at times turbulent, and ever changing? H.C. McEntire's new album Every Acre grapples with those themes-themes that encompass grief, loss, and links to land and loved ones. And naming-claiming land, claiming self, being claimed by ancestry and heritage-permeates the hauntingly beautiful landscape that is this poignant collection of songs.

H.C. McEntire, frontwoman of Mount Moriah, strikes out on her own with her debut solo album LIONHEART. Stereogum describes her voice as Inchweary, wise, and bright as morning sunshine all at once,Inch and that sunshine glows throughout the triumphant LIONHEART. For the album, McEntire collaborated with many of her favorite musicians, including Kathleen Hanna, Angel Olsen, Amy Ray, Tift Merritt, William Tyler, Mary Lattimore, and Phil Cook, while remaining bravely devoted to her most authentic self throughout the process.
