This year TurboTax gave the middle finger to the half of all PC owners still running Windows 10. 2025 TurboTax will ONLY run on Windows 11. And, many of us are locked into Windows 10 because you can't install 11 on a 7-year computer. So, after 25+ years with TurboTax, I decided to give H&R Block a try. So far, my transition has been much easier than I expected. I'm still on a learning curve but I'm finding it easy to use and that it has all the functionality I need. I'm very pleased and would recommend this product.

Software worked as excepted except it didn’t import enough information from turbo tax. I did 4 tax returns on it so it mad it worthwhile

A product that was supposed to work with Windows 10. Guess again. Two calls to tech support. Over 2.5 hours on the phone. Nothing. Thank goodness I only paid $42. Only good thing about customer service…they answered the phone.

H&R Block does an excellent job once again at putting together an easy to use piece of software, making it easy for those with little tax experience to file their taxes with ease and the support of their built-in assistant. For preparers: this software gives you an amazing set of tools available in more expensive software, access to a vast number of forms, a huge library of tax research that is constantly updated, and many other features that are usually reserved for a full tax practice! This makes the H&R Block Premium and higher the best option for those who are tax experts, do their own taxes, might do a few other's, too, but are not up to the capacity of needing a full suite of "professional-grade" commercial practice tax software. This is really about as close as one might get to that level without paying for a commercial practice tax software. Overall, if you're looking for an easy experience to complete your taxes and have a small business that you run, this is the one to get! If you prepare taxes for friends, family, a few others, just don't feel the need to pay hundreds or thousands for a 'practice' level license, this is the software to get! -Experienced corporate accountant (reformed PA tax, IYKYK)

Fairly comprehensive and reliable tax software. Covers a wide range of tax issues. Interface can use an upgrade.

Works fine, I’ve used it for the last several years. Unfortunately, as taxes get more complex (the government’s fault, not the software!), it gets more difficult to know what to put where; I still needed a fait amount of help through web searches (don’t use the AI results!). You still have to collect all your own records, so the software is really just a big spreadsheet you input to. But it does help you through the process, which is worth it to me.

I have used this software to prepare my taxes for many years. It is simple, accurate, and easy to use. I would recommend H&R Block tax software to anyone who needs to file.

Good product, but there were several places where I had questions that would have been great places for a hyperlink.

Much better than TurboTax, only complaint is estimated taxes calculator isn't that good

Just answer the questions and before you know it, your taxes are done! The electronic filing is convenient too.

First time using this version it worked great. Also very helpful walking through the steps for a new self employed business deduction.

Has been my go-to tax software solution for some time. Properly accounts for an operating partnership K-1 and imports my brokerage info. Easy to use and allows me to do some what-ifs, like contributions to a SEP.

Not as nice as turbo tax but my Mac doesn’t have the proper op system to continue to use turbo tax after many years.
