About this product
Under the category of essential photography tools, the Haida Greystone 1.8 6-Stop Multi-Coated Neutral Density Filter stands out as a versatile accessory for photographers seeking creative control over their shots. This circular ND filter, with a 64x filter factor, offers a substantial 6-stop exposure reduction, enabling photographers to achieve stunning effects by darkening the entire image. This allows for the use of wider apertures or slower shutter speeds than typically possible, making it ideal for capturing motion blur in waterfalls or achieving a shallow depth of field in bright conditions.Crafted from high-quality optical glass, this ND filter ensures exceptional clarity and color fidelity, preserving the natural hues of your scene. The filter is encased in a thin, yet robust, aluminum-alloy ring, which not only enhances durability but also minimizes the risk of vignetting, ensuring your images remain sharp and evenly lit.The Haida Greystone ND filter is equipped with advanced multi-coating technology, which significantly reduces internal ghosting and reflections. These coatings not only enhance image quality but also provide added protection to the filter surface, keeping it cleaner for longer periods compared to uncoated alternatives.Designed for convenience, the filter features front threads, allowing for seamless stacking with other filters to expand your creative possibilities. Neutral density filters like this one do not alter the color balance of your images, making them perfect companions for other filters. By manipulating exposure time or aperture settings, photographers can effectively control depth of field and convey motion, adding a dynamic element to their photography.
