About this product
Since forming as Hammock in 2003, Byrd and Thompson have released 12 critically-acclaimed albums and are renowned for their unique talent for bringing inexpressible emotion to life. From the Void is an extension of the band's genre-defying 2023 album Love in the Void. Hammock's Marc Byrd explains InchThere are four songs we were considering for Love in the Void that weren't fully fleshed out. Listening to them again, we decided they deserved to be brought to life because of how they made us feel. In addition, we decided to create four new pieces inspired by LITV. Adding these pieces and pulling them from the void creates what we think is a bridge between LITV and our next LP, as well as a nice stand-alone document of music.Inch

Shaken awake following pandemic isolation, Love in the Void pulses with a burning desire for action and connection. Hammock crests soaring crescendos awash in reverb, with rich string orchestration and emphatic drumming, heightening the stakes. Hammock's loudest album to date, Love in the Void embraces daring and vulnerability without fear.
Writing songs is hard. Not compared to so many things I suppose, but it's difficult to create something that you love and then other people love as well. Writing songs for two and a half years in front of video screens instead of being in the presence of other humans has been a long, strange trip. And now here we are,Inch frontman Pat Monahan shares. InchIt has to start with love. Love that goes into work comes out of work. We love this album and our fans. Thank you for waiting so long for us. I think it was worth it. AM Gold! Here we go!
