Cathy Segal-Garcia and pianist Phillip Strange spent many years traveling throughout Japan and a bit of Europe together, enjoying the pared-down intimacy of performing as a duo, building strong bonds with each other and with their audiences. This live, 2-disc recording from a Japan tour in December 1992, came just 3 months after recording their debut, InchSong of the Heart,Inch with bassist Marc Johnson & drummer Peter Erskine. Inspired and completely in-tune musically, InchLive in JapanInch offers a peek into that intimate musical space where the resultant authenticity and transparency creates a rich listening experience. InchBoil Segal-Garcia down to her essence, she's simply a weaver of dreams, a starry- eyed wanderer and free spirit who, nevertheless, possesses strong artistic instincts and the organizational savvy to pull off one unique project after another.Inch - Dan Bilawsky, All About Jazz

Though it was directed by Tony Scott, the 1993 film True Romance displayed all the signature themes and images of it's writer, Quentin Tarantino, from it's grisly violence to it's B-movie homages to it's gleeful amorality. And the same could be said of the soundtrack; alongside composer Hans Zimmer's riff on Carl Orff (which itself was an homage to another violent road movie, Badlands), True Romance offered a playlist that smacked of Tarantino in it's embrace of rockabilly (Charlie Sexton, Chris Isaak), grunge (Soundgarden), honky-tonk (Shelby Lynne), and romantic machismo (Robert Palmer's take on Inch[Love Is] The Tender TrapInch). Vinyl would seem a natural for such a InchwarpedInch soundtrack; and, for this reissue, we've crafted a custom jacket sporting production stills from the film. What's more, this of True Romance comes in turquoise InchAlabama WorleyInch vinyl in honor of the sartorial hue Patricia Arquette's character favored in the film! Consider this a colorful homage to one of the greatest cult classic films of all time.
