Hatesphere - The Sickness Within (Reissue 2026) - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

The Fratellis are back, toting a vibrant, typically tune-rich new album, Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied. They're also back from a year-long tour. Another one. Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied, Fratellis' fourth album, is a eleven song tour de force, recorded in Los Angeles with Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air), producer-architect of both their debut album and of Jon's solo album Psycho Jukebox. It is a muscularly tuneful, sonically vibrant album - one that should make another planned year's worth of touring a whole new adventure. With The Fratellis' rocking, rolling, rollicking, energetic and energizing Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied there's no question - it's job brilliantly done, again.

Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. The ultimate Scandinavian thrash-death assault. InchThe Sickness WithinInch is the pinnacle of the first part of the Hatesphere career, and still a killer thrash-death album after all these years. Plenty of razor-sharp guitar riffs, some heavy crushing grooves and a subtle but cool melodic taste are the main ingredients of this brutally exquisite recipe, and truly represent the frantic Hatesphere signature sound. The Danish band was lead at that time by the charismatic frontman Jacob Bredhal his raspy, powerful vocal delivery is one of the highlight of a flawless tracklist. Add a brilliant songwriting and a meaty production and you'll simply get one of the best extreme metal albums of the early 00s. To this day, an unparalleled vulgar display of sickness!

Razor-sharp riffs, some wicked melodic solos, a groovy-thick rhythm section and a truly hysteric and menacing vocal delivery (courtesy of new frontman Mathias Uldall) - not to forget the subtle, brilliant songwriting variety surfacing here and there. Lyrically, 'Hatred Reborn' revolves around the subject of man's fascination with evil. Every single human being is drawn to some kind of darkness be it through factual events or fictional scenarios, Hatesphere know how to deal with the seasons in the abyss.
