About this product
Formed in Oakland, CA, Heaven's Club began as the project of Shiv Mehra during downtime while off tour with his band Deafheaven. It then expanded to include Deafheaven drummer Dan Tracy, Nadia Kury, Chris Natividad, Ross Peacock and Luis Mayorga. Finding ground in introspective lyricism and progressive, ethereal sonics, they achieve a careful balance between punching urgency and distant atmosphere. Recorded at Santo Studios in Oakland, CA, the band's producer and engineer Andrew Oswald acts as a seventh member and brings a rich texture and nuance to Mehra's vision. Of the project, Mehra says InchHeaven's Club is the fog of memory and insubstantial fantasy. The songs reside in the liminal space between love and the end of suffering. They reach toward an ambiguous desire for peace-a deeply felt longing.Inch

This 5-song collaboration between artist Lonnie Holley and the latevisionary producer Richard Swift is a tribute to urgent, raw, Americanart - from Howlin' Wolf to Captain Beefheart, from Cecil Taylor to BoDiddley. The songs pulse with anger, hope, energy and a bit of swagger. You can hear sweat and tears through the speaker. Swift left us two yearsago today, but his spirit buzzes through these songs.During a West Coast tour with Deerhunter in late summer 2013, Holleywas put in touch with Swift by a friend who suggested using a day offon tour to record at Swift's National Freedom Studio in Cottage Grove,Oregon. Now rather legendary, Swift was in a breakout moment as aproducer having recently worked with artists like The Shins, Foxygenand Damien Jurado. Holley's essential debut album, Just Before Music, had come out the year prior. The cosmic connection between Holleyand Swift was immediate. They put down five songs in their daytogether all conjured in the studio and one-of-a-kind.At the end of that day in 2013, Swift - always up until the wee hours -made a late night call to the friend who had set up the session. He waseffusive about the experience - thrilled to have found a kindred spiritin Lonnie Holley and thankful to spend a day crafting unclassifiable, extemporaneous and soulful music.

After a ten-year break from the studio, The Autumn Defense pick up right where they left off on their long-anticipated sixth album, Here and Nowhere. Infusing the band's breezy, harmony-drenched take on Laurel Canyon with rich orchestration and psychedelic flourishes, the collection is dreamy and impressionistic, full of warm, inviting tunes as beautiful as they are bittersweet. Like much of the group's catalog, it's an album full of mystery and wonder, a rich, open-hearted work that nods to everything from Nick Drake and John Martyn to Carole King and David Crosby as it contemplates the passage of time, reckoning with what we lose, what we gain, and who we become along the way.Founded by core duo John Stirratt and Pat Sansone-and now featuring longtime rhythm section James Haggerty and Greg Wieczorek-The Autumn Defense first took shape in New Orleans, where the band recorded their 2001 debut, The Green Hour. While the group has at times been pigeonholed as a Wilco side project (Stirratt is a founding member, and Sansone joined around the of 2004's A Ghost Is Born), The Autumn Defense's sound has always been decidedly more West Coast than alt-country, drawing comparisons to The Beach Boys, The Byrds, and Love over the course of five critically acclaimed studio albums. NPR hailed the group's Inchtimeless pop songs,Inch while Rolling Stone called their music InchgorgeousInch and Inchdelightful,Inch and the New York Times praised their delivery as Inchwarm and radiant.Inch The vinyl lacquer was cut by Jeff Powell.LP includes download card w/ full album, plus bonus track InchRaven Of The Wood.Inch
