Henri Vibert - Tartarin Sur Les Alpes - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

(3-CD Set) the character of Tartarin de Tarascon became a legend of literature and mid-19th century Provence. A major book by Alphonse Daudet (author of InchLes Letters de Mon MoulinInch), Tartarin de Tarascon describes the adventures of this citizen of Tarascon, little city of the French InchMidiInch (south of France), his ability to speak loud and to boast of his imaginary adventures. A sort of loud-speaking Don Quixote, Tartarin de Tarascon represents the archetype of the Meridional in our literature exuberant, odd, and irresistibly engaging. This 3 CD box set features an historic reading for the French National Broadcasting by Henri Vibert in 1956.
