Herbert von Karajan - Don Juan - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Hermann Max - Christmas Cantatas [COMPACT DISCS] date 11/16/2010

Herbert von Karajan established himself as one of the 20th century' greatest conductors, both in live performances and on recordings. Taken from the first of Karajan' four Beethoven symphony cycles, made in the splendid acoustic of London' Kingsway.

It is an adventure to immerse oneself in the Norwegian treasury of song. There is so much magnificent music, and so much of it bears witness to the time in which it was written. The songs on this - volume 1 - are all songs that were published during Sigurd Lie's lifetime (1871-1904).
