About this product
Welcome to a journey back to the future! Herman Rarebell & Friends take you back to the eighties and together we return to our time with the greatest music of this powerful decade. Herman has chosen twelve songs to re-record with good friends and great musicians. As a tribute to the greatest hits of a time that was a golden age for him personally. Former Black Sabbath bassist Bob Daisley can be heard on this album; Dan Huff, who can be heard as a studio musician on some of the greatest albums in pop history, is there, as well as Howard Leese from the legendary US rockers Heart and singer Michael Voss (Casanova, Mad Max, Michael Schenker, among others). What an ensemble, what a pleasure.Herman says of this time InchI don't think more powerful music has ever been created before or since. It was the golden age for me, I enjoyed it. We traveled the world with the Scorpions, we met people from all cultures. It was one big rush. Anything was possible at any time. With this album, I don't just want to bring back memories of the great hits of the eighties. It's not just about the melodies and rhythms that I miss today. Above all, it's about the feeling that these songs convey. The love, the courage, the optimism that is in them. I think a lot of that has been lost. The groove in InchHere I go againInch, the larger-than-life chorus of InchI Love Rock'n'RollInch and the unshakeable power of InchRock You Like A HurricaneInch. The love and longing of InchI want to know what Love isInch. It's no wonder that these songs have held a place in people's hearts for four decades. For me, the power, the special spirit of the eighties is in every chord of these songs, every hit on the bass drum. Every take we recorded for this album was pure pleasure. Friends who play great music. We hope you feel what we've put into these new recordings Love, power, optimism! For me, this is the power o

In his groundbreaking Lieder cycle Winterreise, Franz Schubert brought to the fore the dark side of the yearning for happiness that channels into obsessions, fears, a sense of danger, feelings of forlornness, bleakness and exposure in hitherto unknown dimensions and with a sense of urgency. His songs for instruments can be viewed as the dissolution of Classical genre boundaries. Something that initially one can barely imagine soon develops into an addictive nature we begin to understand this aural picture even without the singing - a true work of art. A kind of intellectual sorrow pervades the richly varied treatment. The Voyager Quartet was founded in 2014. It's members can all look back on successful careers in famous string quartets such as the Cherubini Quartet and Modern String Quartet, and in world-class orchestras such as the Symphony Orchestra of Bavarian Radio. The members of the Voyager Quartet thus combine a wealth of experience in numerous concerts worldwide at renowned music festivals and in famous concert venues, which they have successfully fed into all manner of high-quality concert programmes over recent years.

Hemlocke Springs / APPLE TREE UNDER THE SEA - the apple tree under the sea, the debut album from breakout alt-pop artist Hemlocke Springs, marks an exciting new chapter for the singer/songwriter/producer. This is a fever dream of a concept album in which our heroine sets off on a journey of self-discovery-one that requires her to confront the chaos and repression of her past in order to claim the full, liberatory life she once didn't even know was possible. Throughout the project hemlocke displays her most adventurous songcraft and playful vocals yet, while co-producing the apple tree under the sea with close collaborator BURNS (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Charli xcx).
