About this product
Limited double colored vinyl LP pressing includes digital download. Hermitude embrace high expectations and a fast-growing international fan base with the exquisite Dark Night Sweet Light, the highly anticipated follow up to their Australian Music Prize-winning, HyperParadise. The electronic duo reach new heights with set of songs that simultaneously illuminate brightness and celebrate darkness. That their shared creative vision is so tightly locked is almost uncanny, most likely stemming from their lifelong friendship. During 2019, Australian electronic hip-hop mavericks Hermitude spun a myriad of styles into a cohesive, yet chaotically catchy vision on their sixth epic, Pollyanarchy. Enlisting the talents of a high-profile guest list, they joined forces with VIC MENSA on InchDusk Till Dawn,Inch Soaky Siren and Vory on InchNorthern Lights,Inch and Buddy and BJ The Chicago Kid on InchOneFourThree.Inch Meanwhile, Bibi Bourelly shines on InchPhew.Inch It might just be their most dynamic and diverse effort yet. Triple J raved the album Inchis more sky of twinkly stars than exploding fireworks, opting to shimmer across 11 tracks instead of having a drop pull the focus.Inch
The first notes of Snow are instantly transporting. The guitar is a scratchy, wooden memory laid over a moment of silence. The gently driving organ beat emerges and takes you with it, beginning the next enchanting journey from brother-sister duo, Angus and Julia Stone. InchRunning from the start, here we are again,Inch Julia sings. InchRunning from the start, here we go again,Inch comes her brother's reply. Plot-wise, Snow is yet another confident advance on a story which now accounts for over half a million album sales in Angus & Julia's homeland of Australia alone. The Sydney-born siblings produced and largely engineered it themselves, in Angus's cottage studio, Belafonté, in the Byron Bay hinterland.
