No ice needed, just pour in the liquid. For the slushie to form properly, all inputs must contain a minimum of 6% sugar, though this guideline does not apply to low-calorie, sugar-free, or diet drinks. For alcoholic inputs, the alcohol content must be between 3% and 16%; alcohol outside of this range may prevent proper freezing.
