Great deal for the price, especially if you find it on sale. At this price point you’ll be hard pressed to find a brighter tv. Decent black levels, better than the Sony x900f, at least in my experience. Good HDR performance, with nice contrast and highlights. Android tv is fairly capable and snappy. Acceptable DSE levels and banding, there is some of this on my panel but not enough to distract, way better than my Vizio p series. Motion is about what you should expect from a budget tv, when you crank up the motion settings you will notice artifacts on fast moving objects, so I just keep it off and it works fine for my use. The one caveat I would say, is the color on this tv. You WILL NEED to at least adjust the white balance on this tv. Straight out of the box colors seem weird, I don’t know how to explain it. I just googled some calibration settings on the internet and the tweaked those to my liking; it’s still a little off but I’ve found a good balance that I can live with. I mainly use this tv as an oversized monitor for Zoom meetings as well as gaming with an Xbox one X. Side note: this tv has an enhanced viewing angle setting which can boost contrast a bit but it produces a noticeable dithering, or “weaved” look on large areas of the same color. It’s not awful but it is noticeable when using at a fairly close distance, I.e using it as a monitor.

Incredible value. Sony, LG or Samsung TVs that look this good will cost double. Those brands economy TVs at this price point will look like utter garbage next to this TV. That’s all you really need to know. If you’re on a budget but want the best picture you can find for that budget you’re on the right track. Just figure out which size of the h8g you want and go. The 50” is the best value. And the one I chose. But the 55” is an incredible value too. As the sets get bigger the value begins to diminish some but not really until 75”. At 65” you are still nearly getting the incredible picture quality for about half the cost. This TV has over 700 nits of brightness, incredible contrast, local dimming, HDR 10 that is actually HDR because it has the colors and brightness required unlike other value TVs, Dolby Atmos, great speakers and an attractive design. Also this TV sits up high enough that most gaming consoles will fit under it as I have pictured. My PS4 pro fits under it perfectly. I also have no panel issues, no flash lighting, cloudiness, vignetting, etc. so the quality control of this model seems to be great. I just hope it is a reliable product. It probably wouldn’t hurt to spend a bit of the money you saved by getting a 5 year protection plan. It’s still going to be a ridiculous deal.

I'm happy with the TV. HDR is a bit dark so if you can watch in Dolby Vision I recommend setting it to Dolby Bright mode and it's way better than HDR. HDR game mode on the other hand looks great (especially PS5!!) It might not have VRR but it has really low input lag and feels very responsive and smooth. There is flickering on images that show horizontal lines like bars, pipes windows etc (only really noticeable when the camera is panning) setting motion to Film fixes this a little. Overall it a good TV especially for the price, picture is way brighter and more colorful than my older Sony x690e. Missing a star because HDR is too dark

I bought this TV to replace a 26 in tv as an upgrade in this covid stay at home period. I was not familiar with HiSense but research informed me that the company had been making tv's for a long time which were sold under other, well know, brand names but were now selling tv's under their own name. Most of the reviews I read or viewed on YouTube gave this model high marks, rating it among the best in its price range. The tv was very easy to set up, particularly as it was an Android tv and I was an Android cellphone user. I find the picture quality excellent in both bright and dark room lighting with dark blacks. One of the main reasons I opted for this model was that all the streaming services I use, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Tubi Tv etc were built in. as was Chromecast allowing me to stream from my cellphone. I also like to use Bluetooth Headphones to listen to the audio without bothering anyone else and this is also built in. This makes the physical setup much simpler and cleaner with only the power cord needed. I do not have cable tv, so I cannot comment on the tuner. The sound is adequate, although it does lack good bass (as most tv's do), so, if I did not use headphones, I would probably buy a soundbar or some external speakers. That said, it is useable and easily loud enough. One issues I found in comments on the reviews I read, was that there was a lot of stuttering on streaming playback. However, I have not experienced this issue. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. I buying it, I used the curbside pickup thus avoiding having to enter the store as I am in the vulnerable age group for covid. This was an easy and pleasant experience. Since this a relatively large and heavy compared with my previous tv I ended off buying a tv stand to hold it.

This TV is a fantastic overall value for the price. Pros: Great color (quantum dot). Bright display. Low input lag in game mode. Operating system is responsive (Android TV). Slim bezel lies flush with display. Reasonable HDR (don't expect top quality HDR at this price range). Cons: Reflections are somewhat noticeable. Mine came with a few dead subpixels, but I can't notice them during normal viewing. Overall I would recommend this TV to most people looking in this price range. It offers a great experience for both media consumption and gaming, and is suitable for use as an additional PC monitor. The only people I might recommend look elsewhere are those with a bright room where you won't be able to control the reflections.

I'm unplugging from cable, and going to streaming, so it was time to update my thirteen-year-old TV. I really like that both Alexa and Google Home can control many options on this TV, not only turning it on and off, but changing channels, changing volume, and going to apps. I don't own any Apple products, so this was very convenient that most the setup was done on my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G cell phone. Since it has built-in Comcast I can cast from my cell phone and laptop, and I don't have to have a Comcast device plugged into an HDMI port. I'm very pleased with being able to download and arrange all the apps I want for music, weather, broadcast & TV channels from the Google Play Store. Having 4 HDMI ports is an amazing Plus, I can now use my TV as my laptop monitor since I work from home. Other than the purchase of my Condo, and my Jeep Wrangler, this is the most exciting purchase I've made.

My old Vizio V series pooped out so I did some research before getting H8G. IMO the overall picture quality and contrast are better than Vizio. Definitely worth the price.

Looks Good, competitive price. can hardwire right to my modem for seamless streaming on Hulu. Took a few minutes to assemble legs and set up the settings.

I am really happy with this purchase. The picture is very vibrant and crisp. I did make one small tweak in the settings, and that was changing the picture mode to "theater day". For the price it does not get much better than this.

I love the Android TV interface and the 4 HDMI inputs. The Panel itself has these light bars on the sides that are very noticeable when watching TV, playing games and when the menu is on the screen. I guess it's the backlight bleeding on the sides. If not for that, it would be perfect.

I have nothing to compare this to. First 4k tv I don't see much of an improvement from 1080p. The software runs fine, no lag. Some things look good and somethings like really bad it depends on what screen its on. But ps4 looks good, and so does Netflix.

I do not recommend getting Hisense TV from bestbuy without protection plan. Around 8 months of use, I found some defective display areas that is located right next to the top bezel so was not easily recognizable. Anyway, I asked bestbuy if they can help out with it. They said I must contact with manufacturer directly. I contacted with Hisense, and their assertion is that the display must shows the defect area in the picture that contains all corners in a single image. Well.. this 50" TV does not clearly shows the small but obvious defect area if the picture is taken that way. So far I could not have any help or service from both the companies, so disappointing. Will never buy anything from Hisense or bestbuy again.

This is an incredible TV. It has stunning 4K picture, Android TV, plenty of HDMI ports, and phenomenal sound. I was quite shocked when I first fired it up and started streaming some 4K video from YouTube. The videos looked like real life, and had great sound. This TV has a nice full sound whether you use the included stands, or wall mounted. Just make sure you select the correct option for you, it makes a big difference. I have this mounted in my daughter room, and she has cable, Nintendo Switch, and a PC hooked up to it. Selecting inputs is very easy. You can also assign and customize sound and picture mode for each input as well. If you have a Google account, you can sign in and it can automatically download entertainment apps related to your account. It will also give you access to all your music on your Google Play account. I was hoping that I would be able to turn the TV on and off with the Google Assistant, but it say's my TV is not setup yet. It's in my home group, and I can control the volume via the Home app, so I'm not sure if it's even a possibility. Likes: 1.) Picture quality. 2.) Nice full sound even when wall mounted. 3.) Four (4) HDMI ports to connect all your equipment 4.) Android TV Dislikes: None. *Note The attached pictures don't do the TV any justice. You should really see the picture quality in real life.

Disappointed with my brand new tv! Wireless connection is disabled every time the tv is turned off. Tried to do factory reset many times but the issue still there. I think this problem could be fixed with a new firmware update, I will call the customer service tomorrow!
