About this product
A mysterious egg contains an impish creature who can grant great power, for good or evil. Brendan Bean, a kindly family man, finds himself face to face with the bizarre creature, and before long a friendship for the ages develops. Meanwhile, the depraved Benny Piazza leads his deranged militia on a violent quest to reclaim the magical homunculi. Matt Hewitt’s relentlessly strange love letter to the “little bastard” subgenre is as much reminiscent of its inspirations (think Gremlins, Munchies, Ghoulies) as it is completely original. There is nothing like HOAGIE out there, and there likely never will be again. This self-assured feature, full of goopy latex practical effects and squibs, is the culmination of a lifetime of ambitious no-budget filmmaking. FEATURES 1. Feature-length commentary with co-creators Matt Hewitt and Ryan Morley, with special guest Hoagie! 2. Short films “Daddy’s Boys,” “Beta Testing,” and “Roid Rage” 3. “Hoagie’s House” practical effects making-of featurette 4. Eight Music Videos directed by Matt Hewitt 5. Promised Men social media content 6. Anderson Valley Ranch commercial 7. Crowdfunding promotional videos 8. Liner notes by Outlaw Vern 9. Trailer and teasers HOAGIE - BLU-RAY

From producer Fabrizio de Angelis (ZOMBIE, THE BEYOND, KILLER CROCODILE), writer/director Luigi Cozzi (CONTAMINATION, STARCRASH) and co-writer/star Daria Nicolodi (DEEP RED, TENEBRAE) comes one of the most hard-to-find shockers from Italian Horror's greatest decade. When an all-girl rock band records an unpublished song by Niccolò Paganini - the 19th-century composer said to have sold his soul to the Devil - they will unleash a skintight spandex nightmare of extreme violins, cheesy power ballads, SUSPIRIA-influenced lighting and outlandish Satanic havoc that QuietCool calls InchSerious fun... it drips with as much love as it does with blood and gore. Jasmine Maimone (DEMONS), Pascal Perciano (VOICES FROM BEYOND) and the legendary Donald Pleasence co-star in this InchKooky, stylish and definitely recommended flickInch (DVDExotica. Com), now transferred in 2K from the original negative.
From co-directors Paul Donovan and Maura O'Connell (DEFCON-4) comes one of the most disturbing - and rarely-seen - Canadian shockers of the '80s, inspired by the actual 42-day Halifax police strike When a local group of right-wing vigilantes massacres the patrons of a gay bar, the sole survivor seeks refuge in a nearby apartment building whose residents must now defend themselves in a night of hate, terror and bloodshed. Doug Lennox (BREAKING POINT), Tom Nardini (CAT BALLOU), Jack Blum (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME) and Keith Knight (MY BLOODY VALENTINE) star in this Inchdark and intense thriller, still uncomfortably relevant 35 years after it was madeInch (Blog Of Horror) - released in the U.S. as SELF DEFENSE - scanned in 2K from the original negative recently discovered in a Nova Scotia archive.
