I wasn't even a fan of Harry Potter when I first heard of this game. Had never read the books, nor seen any of the movies (bits of one or two when they were on TV). The drama surrounding this title brought my attention to it, and made me want to support and play it. As it turns out, it's a decent game! While I'm sure many of the easter eggs and lore bits were lost on me, I had fun exploring the wizarding world and learning about it. Then I decided to watch the movies. And buy wands off a "crafty" online shopping market. I guess one could say I'm a moderate Harry Potter fan now. As for the game, the world and Hogwarts are visually interesting and pleasing. There is a lot of lore hidden throughout. Collecting all the things hidden around the world and castle can start to feel tedious, so you have to break it up with other activities. I do also wish there was a broader variety of enemies. However, the variety of spells, and the pacing of combat and spell slinging, are all good enough to prevent the combat from becoming too terribly stale. The broom flight controls are comfortable and tight, so that feels like a very good experience. The story seems decent, but I think I actually like one of the side plots a little better than the main plot. Perhaps that's a personal thing, or maybe it just means the writing is good! I do feel like the map probably didn't have to be as large as it is. It's not even that huge, by modern open world standards, but it's big enough to feel that it starts to drag down the pacing of gameplay, since there isn't much more than a few repetitive "mini tasks" to accomplish out in the world. A smaller map likely would have given a similar, but more refined experience. Still, to feel like you're actually in this big world of wizards, at a wizard school hidden away in the foothills, is an awesome feeling! Oh, it seems to run well on Series X! I don't recall having issues while playing it. I look forward to the DLC!

Hogwarts Legacy is an amazing game! So much to do, a brilliant story and great graphics! It's so easy to get lost in the world the developers brought to life. This is not only the game that Potter fans have been waiting for, it's a great game for even those who couldn't care less about the Wizarding World.

Absolutely addictive and euphoric. This game keeps you on your toes. Love the accuracy on the lore aspect and the free roam makes it your own world. Can’t wait to play through again.

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the greatest games I've ever played! It has a rich story, a really big opened world, and easy to spend hours playing. I just hope they make this into a whole series of games!

This game is more expansive than id imagined. Its massive. You can go anywhere and interact with all kinds of things and creatures within the world. The main quests are great. They’re mostly combat or puzzle based. The side quests in my opinion are even more fun, they could be anything from delivering potion to searching a cave for a relic. My absolute favorite part of the game are the classes at hogwarts, which cover everything that a student would learn at a wizard school. Lots of nods to the movies and books, the creative team really loves this property and it shows. After playing through 1/4 of the game i believe I’ve already got my moneys worth. Would pay up to $100 for it easily.

I love Harry Potter, and Hogwarts, I’m a hardcore Slytherin, I waited what feels like forever for this game to come out, and this game was epic. I’m sad I finished it so soon. The effects the Xbox x has is incredible. The battles were difficult, tiring, but all in all fun. I cant wait for the second one.

Good game to play. I personally got bored after about 40 hours of game time; but it's got a great story line and is really fun at first.

Excellent game. Was skeptical to play this game to be honest. I normally only play first person shooters but I took a break from call of duty and grinder this game like no other. I had an absolute blast and can’t wait for them to expand on this game

Not my cup of tea, combat got stale quick because of a staggering lack of enemy variety. The follow up will probably be what this could have been.
