About this product
Honey Child is a Chamber Pop Choir from Los Angeles, led by Opera singer Claire McKeown and featuring Claire Boutelle, Aimee Jacobs, Danielle Mandell, Dayna Richards, Jacquelyn Sky, and Cynthia Zitter. Originally formed as a cathartic place to let go of the pains of a slaughtered heart, Honey Child became a transformative creative endeavor filled with beauty and harmony. The debut album was recorded at EastWest Studios in the famed Studio 3 (Pet sounds). According to McKeown, InchThe goal of the album was to celebrate musicians sharing time and space. We set up for three days and tried to capture as much magic as possible honoring the authenticity of our sound and ability to record live performances. For me, the orchestrations and vocal arrangements of The Beach Boys and The Beatles were huge inspirations for the album along with the vocal delivery of Harry Nilsson, Dusty Springfield, and the dramatic honesty of opera singer Maria Callas.InchSIDE A1. Diles Que No Me Maten are a Mexico City five-piece whosekrautrock-influenced art rock has evolved into something genuinely singular -wiry, poetic, and alive with improvisational instinct. Their fourth album Escrito enAgua (Writ in Water), due June 12 via Moonlight Activities, is their most focusedand accessible work yet, recorded in a makeshift studio in Santa María LaRibera with producer Sebastián Rojas. Built around restrained drumming, deliberate silences, and the spiritual weight of Oaxacan funerary music, therecord moves with an unhurried confidence that feels hard-won.Thematically, Escrito en Agua is a record about presence, wandering, andresilience - songs that sit with ambiguity rather than resolve it. Lead singleInchHirikuInch sets the tone, pairing frenetic krautrock with lines drawn from JoséVicente Anaya's visionary poem Híkuri, while standout track InchNo meInch transformsa mantra of self-assurance into something far more emotionally complex.Dedicated to both the indigenous morning star Tunuwame and Palestinian poetMahmoud Darwish, the album closes as it opens quietly transcendent, payingcareful attention to the smallest details of what it means to be alive.
Los Angeles punk quartet The Paranoyds channel revelry and revulsion into their debut album Carnage Bargain-a raucous blend of garage rock grit, new wave swagger, horror film soundtrack campiness, and a myriad of other influences. The Paranoyds' beginnings can be traced back to a friendship forged between Staz Lindes and Laila Hashemi in their teens. With the additions of Lexi Funston and David Ruiz, the band found the personnel for their sonic balance of jubilant energy and foreboding undercurrents. Carnage Bargain captures this chemistry through guitar-and-keyboard, genre-mashing weirdness on InchLaundry,Inch the fever-dream kitsch of B-52s on InchRatboy,Inch krautrock's motorik groove on InchHungry Sam,Inch and Blondie on the sweet-and-salty highlight InchCourtney.Inch Title track InchCarnage BargainInch is a perfect example of the band delivering scathing lyrical observations under the guise of a quirky pop hook. The notion of rejecting the status quo and creating your own destiny is evident on the lead single InchGirlfriend Degree,Inch which the band calls an ode to Inchbeing a badass woman who's taking time to make sure she's doing things for herself.Inch The band may be paranoid, but they offer a solution to our modern ills through the act of being an inspiring, independent, and unflappable force.

Post-punk silliness with influences such as hardcore punk, Captain Beefheart and Butthole Surfers. Often noisy and always a little 'off'.
