Purchased this to fly GA in MSFS 2020 and it is perfect. At this price point the quality is really good. The top of the unit provides a nice base to place a keyboard or other control panel on top.

Awesome yoke, very configurable and very well put together. If you are into Sim flying this is the yoke for you.

On the CH products one, the was a ton of stiction* in the pitch direction. The roll axis was fine. There was a centering control for pitch that also had a ton of stiction, and giant movement once you got it to move. (it mechanically centered the pitch axis.) The pitch centering is non-resistant on the Honeycomb, but I use one of the two thumb switches for yaw trim (or 7 and 1 on the keypad). The pitch motion of the yoke is totally smooth. The centering spring is probably heavier than I would have chosen, but at least it moves smoothly. Front to back, it takes a LOT more space, so be sure you have room to mount it. I had to remove some stuff from my desk to make room for it. The mounting knobs below the desk also take up a lot of knee room. I finally got it positions so that my knee isn't constantly hit it as I move my rudder pedals. I guess the screws are extra long to accommodate both normal and extra thick desks. Too bad they don't have one for normal desks and one for thicker mounting needs. The panel switches work well. The software doesn't know whether they are on or off. Only when they change position, up or down. One has to remember to turn them off before stopping (in my case) P3D. Perhaps FS 2020 when it comes out will work better in this regard. The leftmost thumb switch I use for xxx the next on I use for pitch trim. The upper right thumb switch I use for roll trim and the lower one for yaw trim. The documentation that comes with it is pretty poor and doesn't mention the pretty nice software it comes with for mapping the switches to actions in P3D (the have another one for X-Plane). That works quite well once you know about it. Unless you want to make changes you only have to run it once. I do it before I start P3D.

Solidly built. Feels great. Great axis travel especially the roll axis. Overall design limits mounting options otherwise would be 5 stars.

great aid on for my flight sim but fyi you do need a lot of desk space and good desk top lip for clamps. I am still working on my ideal setup. I would have liked more info for setup like a manual that shows button ids.

I previously had one of those all plastic CH yokes that I got for about $140. This Honeycomb yoke cost about $100 more but is so much better in construction. It's heavy and feels high quality, not like a toy. You can also turn the yoke a full 180 degrees. Everything about this unit is of good quality, including the switches and buttons. Honeycomb Aeronautical is doing a great job upping the game in the flight controler market. The other companies like CH, Saitek and Thrustmaster should start to worry...

You get what you pay for. The Alpha Flight yoke does not disappoint. High quality craftmanship. I truly like the feel of the yoke in my hands. The extra switch assortment works well. I like the dual magneto ignition switch. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a realistic and quality product.

Finally upgraded from my Saitek Pro-Flight yoke which lasted over a decade, but was beginning to show its age. The new honeycomb is so much more advanced and has a true aircraft yoke feel to it. The entire unit is solidly built (no cheap plastic here) and I have faith it will last me through the next decade and beyond.

Everything about the yoke is fantastic. Setup is very easy and it mount securely to my desk. In my personal experience there is next to ZERO dead zone. Would certainly recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade or buy.

"I think it is safe to say that Honeycomb has easily met my expectations and quite possibly even exceeded them. For the price, it is by far the best yoke I have come across. Build quality is superb and the mechanics feel robust so I see no reason why it won't last for years. On top of that the combination of precise and weighty control input provides an excellent flight experience.I have no hesitation in awarding this a score of 98% Great job!"

Let’s get the ugly part out of the way. Yes, $250 is a lot of money especially with the economy the way it is. But if you can afford it this is an awesome yoke. I bought it specifically for Flight Simulator. It is so smooth and Flight Simulator is already programmed to recognize the yoke making it very easy to use.
