Looked into many fire safes...best of all
I was looking for a home safe to put important documents in. Primarily looking for fire protection. This safe is rated for 1 hour at 1700 degrees F....that is very good. You must look at that rating when purchasing a fire safe. This Honeywell safe weights about 55 pounds so it is solid. But remember that the actual storage capacity is much smaller than the overall size of this safe...but that is due to its thick and heavy fire protection encasement. It’s waterproof too. My wife was surprised it was so much smaller inside then out, but after explaining why that is a good thing she understood. I put silica jell packs in the safe to reduce moisture. Remember the safe must lay flat...not on its side. I would of liked to of stored it on its side, but were advised not to do that. Has a 7 year warranty. Lifetime fire replacement. I think it’s a well-built safe and one I highly recommend. Hope I never have to have it tested in real life, but glad I now have it. Watch some YouTube videos on this safe...it’s solid!
