The air conditioner works. I bough the brand because it’s a reputable American brand. It does cool down a 350sq.ft room sufficiently. It comes with basic set up equipment for the window installation. It’s being used in the San Fernando Valley, CA, humidity averages 35-45% at this time in summer and it works. From what I’ve read in reviews the AC already has ECO mode on which means it can’t be left running at max 24/7 unless it detects it needs to until it reaches the desired temperature you set it at. Comes with remote and it’s not annoying loud. You may need a drain hose on more humid climates. But other than that it’s easy to use. It self evaporates the water in climates that aren’t as humid which is a cool feature so you don’t need to use a hose

Probably not for your bedroom

Late last week Honeywell informed me they made changes to this unit to save energy/meet DOE regulations. This is not on their website nor in the product manual. This Energy Saver Mode is automatic. You do not chose it. When the a/c gets to your set temp and compressor goes off, the fan speed with change to low. (no matter if you have it on med or high) when compressor comes back on it will revert to past fan speed. You cannot change speeds once this Energy mode starts. I bought this unit after finding this out. I like the fan noise to sleep and the cycling high/med to low and back interrupts my sleep and wakes me up. Otherwise I like this unit, I have another one, a previous version of the same model that does not cycle the fan and it works great in the bedroom. I'm going to be returning this. It would have been nice for Honeywell to update their product information and manuals. This is not a minor change.

Knowing Honeywell is pioneer and excellent in Aircon Parts and Controls, 10,000 BTU perfectly and conveniently cool my 500 square feet room without any issue. Its quite motor and compressor and energy savings impress me impress me so much hence I am so happy compared to my previous brand of air conditioning i have. Now, i am saving to buy another unit for the 2nd room.

I live in a small studio, less than 300sq ft and it works reasonably well in here. It is a bit quieter than my window unit, except when the a/c first kicks on or off, makes a loud thud noise. Easy to use and setup but beware it is really heavy, thank goodness it has wheels.

Honeywell got it right

These portable AC units tend to be temperamental and not very durable. This Honeywell has worked well throughout the hottest and muggiest part of summer and still performs well. It cools my den and makes my adjacent kitchen bearable with the help of a couple of tall fans. I have to drain it occasionally because of the high humidity, but it lets me know when to do that and when the filters need cleaning. It saved my summer!

Great unit but very difficult to install Using it in basement and the unit works great very quiet but attaching the tubes was so frustrating

Apologies on your experience with this unit. Our portable air conditioners work best in well insulated, enclosed spaces. This unit can cool a space of upto 450 sq.ft. Also, room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency. You might need a unit with a larger area coverage for cooling. Great ac and customer service

I don’t usually write reviews but I wanted to compliment on the customer service that comes with this Honeywell air conditioner. The ac was easy to install and cools down my bedroom within 10 minutes. I had an issue with the hose connection and called their customer support who addressed the issue immediately by sending anew part. Highly appreciated and love this unit.

Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, the dust filter could be dirty, or the air outlet could be blocked.
