I live in a 1 bedroom, fully carpeted apartment with a Lab/Pit bull mix who sheds year round, and I myself have long hair; my old vacuum just couldn't take it anymore. no matter how often i took it apart and cleaned it, it just wasn't doing the job. I found this Hoover vacuum on sale for under $100 and took the plunge and splurged. I am so glad I did. This vacuum has serious suction. it has adjustable floor settings-bare floor and 4 carpet settings. the bare floor and low carpet settings are insanely strong. i started out on mid level carpet (3) but switched it down to 2 just to see and it was like I deep cleaned the carpet! the attached picture shows how much the vacuum picked up in just my living room, and I had vacuumed 2 days earlier with the old one. The powerful suction makes the vacuum feel heavy but it isn't unwieldy. the power pet hair attachment is like a vacuum on steroids and I was able to pull tons of dog hair out of the pet beds and the couches. There are 2 negatives: the dirt cup empties at the bottom and the conical wind tunnel shape makes it really hard to get clumps of pet hair out without banging it against the garbage can or sticking your hand in. the hose for the hand tool is very stiff and I'm hoping it will loosen up with use.

I like this vacuum because it is easy to navigate. It picks up dirt and dust pretty good. And it is easy to empty.

My Hoover Wind Tunnel beats any heavy, expensive vacuum I've ever used as a Care Giver

Got this vacuum cause my old one wasn't doing a good job picking up the dogs hair from the carpet. It did an excellent job. Has a powerful suction. A good buy.

Minimal assembly out of the box. Decent sucking; hose is a bit short however.

This vacuum works well with cleaning pet hair on the hard flooring.

We LOVE this vacuum! We have 2 cats who love to shed all over the house. I hate cat hair and dander, but love the cats. We got this model and have been amazed how much it picks up! We ran it the first time and it was nearly half-full with dust and hair that I didn't even know we had! My wife likes that it has an adjustable level so that she can use it on both the carpets in the house and the vinyl in the kitchen and bathrooms. It also has nice attachments for cleaning the bedding and couches after the cats sleep on them. I am glad we got this unit that does not have the retractable cord. First, because I am lazy and I don't have to empty this one as often because the dirt container is bigger because it doesn't need the room for the cord retraction part. Second, I've know a few people who had vacuums with retractable cords. While those units are easier to put away without winding the cord, they inevitably broke within a year or two (usually right after the warranty expired). The manual cord is a little more work, but lasts alot longer if you take care of it. This is definitely a light vacuum that can do some serious work!

The vacuum cleaner has very good suction and it's fairly light. I have three dogs and it does a good job of vacuuming up the fur. Emptying the canister is an other story. I have to use my hands to pull out the fur. I can't just shake it out, it will not slide out. So it is a messy job. It is a low cost vacuum cleaner. It shows in the construction of it but for the money it is still a good buy if you don't mind to get your hands dirty.

Our Eureka vacuum could no longer handle the relentless storm of hair that our dog and cat both produced. The Hoover Wind Tunnel 2 does an outstanding job picking up the dog and cat hair on the first pass and it was priced considerably less than other pet-specific vacuum cleaners. I would have given it five stars simply for how well it does the job. My only disappointment, and it's a minor one, is that I'm not particularly pleased with the mechanics of emptying the canister. If you're not careful, you can make quite a mess doing it. Other than that, a great vacuum at a great price.

I have kids and a a large dog with fine hair.. Im an extreme germ/dirt/pet hair nut when to comes to keeping my house clean. This Vaccum on its first day blew me away, it's so strong , easy to use, picks up dog hair and dust. I've had a different version of the Hoover and it broke down on me. I was hesitant on buying another Hoover until I met this one . I couldn't have made a better purchase. It's a good price and totally worth it.

This vacuum works great. It picks up all the pet hair and dust and dirt with ease.I very easy to empty the dust /dirt bucket and it's easy to clean. The hose is a bit short but I have more than enough extensions to help on that and it never looses it suction EVER.I had to buy this one cause my last vacuum's motor burnt up.I have used this one every other day since I bought it and really have NO complaints. If you have pets or even if you don't and want a great machine then this one is for you.Definitely worth the money.Trust me get this machine and you won't regret it.

We enjoy using this vacuum. The sucking power is incredible. We have a dog that sheds, with the help of this vacuum you couldnt tell that he does. Although i do wish the hose on the vacuum extended more, hopefully with the usage itll loosen up. It does have a filter but we have yet had to clean it. It is great on hard wood floors also.easy clean and emptying of the canister, makes life easy. Couldnt ask for a better vacuum, worth every penny.

We have a dog and this really worked great with taking up the pet hair!!! We even vacuumed our cars out and it got everything up with no problem. I love the attachments that it comes with. the vacuum is very light and on the plus side, we are huge LSU fans...the vacuum is purple and yellow - can't go wrong!!! =]

My Shark vacuum cleaner decided to quit on me after i finished using it for the last time. So i walk into best buy to buy a new vacuum cleaner and i see this hoover and it was reasonably priced and had everything in needed in a vacuum. It was easy to put together right out of the box, maybe 10 to 15 minutes. Plugged the vacuum cleaner in and immediately stared using it. Evidently my old Shark vacuum cleaner had been taking it easy since this new one picked up a ton of dirt that my old vacuum missed. I was pretty impressed with the suction and amount of dirt etc. that it picked up. The clean up of the canister was very easy afterword. The only things i found that i did not like were the fact that the hose is very short and stiff and does not stretch well. The cleaning attachment tubes are not long enough to give me reach for some things. That is the only reason i gave it 4 stars.

This was well worth the price. There is a lot of power in the vacuum and it is easy to dump out the dirt after cleaning. The attachments are conveniently located and work well when vacuuming things like stairs, benches, and sofas.

I needed something for very minimal cleanup and maintenance, and this vacuum met and exceeded my expectations. Easy canister dumping and cleaning. Does not give off that 'leaky' dusty odor after/during use. Attachments are easy to use, along with quick disconnect hose for getting into the tight spots. Suction is very good and tends to pick up the very small debris that a lot of units tend to leave behind. This unit is light weight and easily maneuverable around furniture. The side edge doesn't pick up as well as I've seen others do, but for the price, it's a sacrifice I can live with. I just use the attachments to get along edges and tight places. If one is looking for an affordable vacuum, or for a good starter vacuum, then this one is worth taking a look at.

We purchased this vacuum after our roommate's vacuum had died. It has fantastic suction, and makes the carpet feel much softer in our apartment after we clean. The attachments, while few, do enable you to get most vacuuming done, so I'm not disappointed with the features. The bagless feature was really the only option for us, and the way that you clear the canister when it's full is really easy with no mess. After ~3 months of use of vacuuming twice per week, the filter is still very clean, but the washable filter just adds to peace of mind. It does a great job picking up stray clumps and stray single strands of cat hair, from the two cats that we have. I would definitely recommend this for people with pets.

Love the vacuum...works well, didn't have to put it together. Not nearly as loud as the Dyson that cost 7 times as much. Handles pet hair well. Overall, was a GREAT VALUE!

I got this vacuum because I recently adopted a cat and wanted something that would keep the couch fur free. This vacuum definitely does the job. The two attachments that it comes with are really nice and they help get all of the hair off of the microfiber couch. The vacuum is also really easy to empty when it gets full. My only issue I have with it is that the on/off switch is in an awkward location and I have a hard time finding it when I'm not looking. I'm used to the pedal on/off switch so this might just be me and it's really not a big deal. Overall I really like this vacuum and I'm happy with how it works.
