  • Features
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)

Q: Is this dishwasher energy star?

A: Hello DeeDee. This dishwasher model is not Energy Star qualified. Thanks for checking. Olga

Q: does the dishwasher heat the water if the water temperature is not hot enough?

A: Hello - Thanks for your question; we are happy to help! The dishwasher does not heat the water. For optimal cleaning performance and to prevent damage to dishes, water entering the dishwasher must be at least 120 degrees F and not more than 150 degrees F. Always make sure the dishwasher is connected to the hot water line, not the cold. If the water is not hot enough, your water heater may need to be adjusted. Thanks for checking. Olga@GEA

A: Yes! I use the Great Value Dishwasher detergent and it works great with this dishwasher. My dishes always come out very clean and I've never had an issue with leftover residue.

Q: We are looking for a dishwasher to fit a very tight space. The specs say the total depth with the door open is 46" much lower than all other models. Is this spec accurate?

A: Hello. Please visit the following link to view this model dimensional diagram including the depth with the door open:https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=450163_hda2100h_c2.pdf Thanks for checking. Olga

Q: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY FINISH MAX IN ONE DISHWASHER PODS WILL NOT RELEASE FROM THE PLACE YOU PUT THEM..IT DOES NOT UNLOCK/RELEASE..

A: Hi Marge, If you are having issues with the detergent dispenser door not opening, please take a look at this link for some troubleshooting tips: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18901 - Also, when using tablets and detergent pods, be sure that you are no placing them in upside down. The heat from the wash can sometimes make the pods stick to the inside of the cup if they are inserted upside down. We hope that this helped! Thank you very much for your question. -MS
