Hounds Of War - DVD

During World War II, a cadre of young Australian soldiers broke boot camp with an understanding to never leave a man behind. That would be put to the test in stunning and horrifying fashion, as the sinking of their ship in the Timor Sea by the Japanese left them adrift on a section of hull-and in the company of a relentless great white shark. Kiah Roache-Turner's lean, gripping survival shocker stars Mark Cole Smith, Joel Nankervis, Sam Delich, Lee Tiger Halley. 87 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

A group of 13-year-old friends play an innocent game of Capture the Flag in the neighborhood woods, arming themselves with nothing more than sticks, their imagination and a simple set of rules. One afternoon the game takes on a more serious tone and the quest for victory pushes the boundaries of friendship, giving the would-be warriors a glimpse of the darker side of human nature as their imaginations take them beyond the rules of the game and into an adventure where fantasy blurs with reality.

In early 2022, ex-U.S. Special Forces Michael Connor (LaMonica Garrett) was enjoying quiet retirement in Spain when he learned his aid worker adoptive daughter Riley (Rosmary Yaneva) went missing in Kyiv as the Russo-Ukrainian war broke out. Grabbing a ride with British mercenaries on their own agenda, will his pursuit only end in heartache-and will he be able to reach safe ground in any case? Jason Patric, Andrew Howard, Daniel Bernhardt, Linds Edwards also star. 111 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
