Worth it
Never thought I needed this until I started using one. Great on my 50mm 1.8. Used it almost every chance I got. Even for night photography with ample light. Cuts on glare and cuts down on over exposure in sunlight. Will buy a new one for every lens I get for now on. Plus it protects your lens. Only gripe, it would fall off after spinning to adjust the feature. Also it would grind when I would rotate as well. Not sure if I just had a bad one.

Gets the job done
These are not the cheapest CPL filter available, but you are paying for the Hoya name. These fit the lens perfectly and does it's job

Rough Adjustment & OK Optics
It's alright for the price. It isn't made to the tightest tolerances, so turning the polarizing element is a little rough and gritty feeling. The threads are cheap metal and cross easily (as I pointed out in another review). The polarizing effect is slightly uneven across the field of view, which isn't an issue for MOST shooting situations. It's an ok value for the money overall, a really nice upgrade from one of these will cost over 2x the price, which pretty much puts this one at the top of it's price point competitors.
