I was in the market for a new computer and was considering a laptop. I went into Best Buy and needed help in choosing what I needed. I am not a a tech person. I was shown a few and then saw this computer sitting all alone in the corner. I was amazed at what I saw. 17 inch screen? Check. Great memory card, processor and graphics card? Check. A price that was under my budget? DOUBLE CHECK! If you are in the market for a new laptop, you wont be disappointed in this one. I couldn't be happier. Has everything I wanted... except one. A backlit keyboard. But that is a very first world problem and obviously not a deal breaker. This laptop is perfect for any student. Great battery life, vivid screen, fast processing etc. etc.

Im not sure how long this HP laptop will last given that i bought its predecessor (17-cp0700-dx) in 2023 and just recently have been giving me issues by kicking me out of my WIFI. So a little over a year i had it before it went to cr@p. I did all the BIOS and system updates to no avail. When i read other reviewers stating that about the earlier model, i usually disregard thinking they may not be technilogically incline, but no they were right and i was wrong. Which is not good… given that i am using this laptop for school and there are timed tests/proctored tests as well. I didnt want to risk failing my courses so i bought the newer gen of the 17” (which is this one). So why did i buy the same laptop? I bought this same type of laptop because i really need the 17.3”. I feel 16 inch laptops arent big enough, and while i did try out hooking it up to a monitor in the past, to get an even bigger screen, i just did not prefer that route. Im picky. I found that it has some slight upgrades compared to the predecessor which is AMD 5 7000 series instead of the 5000 series, the color of the keyboard changed so we can now see what letter we type, there is now a camera cover, and it is conveniently faster… i cant say if its due to the fresh ram ill have to revaluate this in the future. So far it is great and works as it should given there is only 8gb of ram storage. I do like that this fits my previous plastic cover, so the dimensions went unchanged maybe in the slightest bit if that. My previous keyboard cover fit as well. As far as price, i did buy on black friday for 300$ i think retail is 615$. I would not pay full price… given the previous experience i had with the earlier model, it isnt worth it. And the screen is matte, gets bright enough under normal conditions, and it is non touch type.

Lovely computer at a great price. It runs fast, looks great, user friendly, and the cheapest I could find at this quality. Easy pick up, pristine condition. Also a very large screen! Pencil for comparison. Largest laptop I’ve owned. It does seem to die fast, BUT I also have screen saver/battery saver shut off, and usually play on almost full brightness with multiple tabs open, and it still lasts me at least 2 hours. I’ve had better battery life before, but it definitely isn’t bad

I absolutely love this laptop. It is very easy and at my age that means a lot. And no, I’m not going to tell you how old I am. It’s a great value and I believe the quality is very good. What I thought was really great the laptop ask if I wanted to transfer all my things over to it. It actually worked! Lol. So if you want my advice I tell you go buy it and make your life easier.. Well, it’s been a real thrill telling you how I feel. I don’t normally do that kind of thing. Take care and enjoy. Sincerely, Robyn R May 9, 2025

What a great laptop! Such an easy setup! All settings and apps were easily transferred and loaded from my old laptop. This laptop is fast and can definitely multi-task. I love the big screen and full HD. Netflix loaded quickly and video resolution looked great with no interruptions or lagging.

I am VERY satisfied with this PC … it has an excellent large screen format and has a very responsive processor … a great bargain for the price and perfect for my needs … I definitely recommend it !

Even though it doesn’t have a backlit keyboard, which I shouldn’t have just assumed since to me it’s a standard feature now, for the price you can not beat it. Although 17”, it’s lightweight and slim. For 25+ years HP is the only type of spec I’ve ever bought and for good reason. I definitely recommend this laptop!

This laptop has exceeded my expectations! It’s fast, lightweight, and perfect for both work and entertainment. The battery life is impressive, and the display is crisp and vibrant. Setup was easy, and everything runs smoothly. Great value for the price

Honesty worth it with a slight memory upgrade. And very easy to self service. Also you can upgrade ram and the m.2. They are not soldered despite the answers, picture for reference.

This laptop has been my favorite laptop so far. Switched out a Macbook for this and I couldn’t be happier. Super easy to navigate and does everything I need it to do without any complications

HP Laptop is great to have! Easy to use and has a large screen. It was easy to transfer everything from my old laptop to my new one! The price was excellent as I got it on sale!

Perfect for shool Lightweight and perfect size, easy to use like tablet, or iPad

I bought this laptop as a birthday presant for my wife in Feb. 2025, she loves it. Happy Wife, Happy Life!

I got what I wanted in regards to the size. I wanted a large screen laptop and it is that. In a perfect world I would’ve liked to have a internal disk drive instead of buying a separate external one, but I’m happy with my purchase.

Great laptop. Setup was smoothe from start to finish. Screen size 17.3" is crystal clear. Appearance is sleek and I love the color. This laptop is fast. Two other family members actually bought one also. I highly recommend this laptop it's a great buy for the price.

works well for the price. My wife had it but gave it to me for she wanted a smaller more powerful. her loss my gain

Great laptop at a value price, name brand (HP), big screen and lots of features, justt what we needed, highly recommend!

I use my laptop for find 'how to' videos on YouTube (mechanical & home repairs), store photos, purchase products and email. I'm very happy with the device I purchased. It's been easy to learn.

Nice color. Works good. I bought it for work. It performs its function perfectly.

I love my laptop. I have a 17 inch screen, HP, very easy to maneuver on. The transition from my old laptop to the new one was very easy as well.
