Q: Does this have an ssd card reader specs say yes pictures say no
A: It doesn’t have a SD card reader and it also doesn’t have an Ethernet port. It also doesn’t have a CD ROM/ DVD player built in.

A: No your software needs to be purchases separately.
Q: Specification's state a 2 year warranty. Is this correct?
A: NO. Sadly, we are unhappy with our recent HP OmniBook X Purchase at Best Buy January 26, 2026. Not because the device itself has issues, but because we relied on the information from a reputable seller, Best Buy and our past 3 decades experience with HP itself and in spite of that, one of the most important, deciding factors in our purchase decision was misrepresented, the warranty. The Best Buy web site clearly states in the specifications that this particular laptop had a 2-year warranty for parts and labor. It was not a separate purchase item. It was included in the price. And we verified that with the agent assisting with our purchase. After setting up our devices and getting them registered with HP, we realized HP only acknowledged a 1-year warranty. We tried HP's process for double checking the warranty and disputing it, but the link for the dispute was nowhere to be found. This was a Windows 11 Home version, not a business computer. We should have been able to easily find the dispute link. After many calls to Best Buy, HP, back to Best Buy, again to HP... We were told that yes, the specifications at Best Buy did state a 2-year warranty, but each company said the other was the responsible party. Neither company would reach out to the other company on our behalf to resolve the issue. Neither company would solve the issue themselves in the spirit of customer service and satisfaction. Both companies tried to "solve" the issue by having us each buy an extended warranty. We relied on Best Buy's specifications for the laptops we bought and were not satisfied when it turned out That neither HP nor Best Buy would honor the 2 year-warranty specified with the purchase of each of our laptops. Excellent laptop for School, and for Work.
Awesome laptop, purchased for school. Fast response, nice display, have ran several tabs at one time, and have not notice any lack in speed. Worth the money, I actually purchased an open box excellent condition for $1,257.00 so it was a terrific purchase, and being an tech member makes it free for my extended warranty for two years ! The battery life is awesome, I can go 2 plus days without charging, depending on what I am doing on it.

Well needed Computer Upgrade
A much needed upgrade. I had an idea of what I wanted , since I had good experiences with Hp products. However, the added knowledge and attentiveness to my needs from the sales Rep helped make this a quick decision. Very fast speed, very sturdy build and large enough so I dont need to squint.

Powerful, Large Screen Laptop with In-Store Pickup
Picked this up from Best Buy and the in-store pickup option made it super easy. Ordered online and was able to grab it the same day, which is always a big plus when you don’t want to wait on shipping. As for the laptop itself, the HP OmniBook X 17.3” is impressive right out of the box. The screen is large, bright, and very easy on the eyes — perfect if you spend long hours working or watching content. The touchscreen feels smooth and actually makes sense on a display this size. Performance has been excellent. With the Core Ultra 9, 32GB RAM, and 2TB SSD, everything runs fast and smooth. Multitasking, large files, and everyday work feel effortless. The Intel Arc graphics are better than expected too. Battery life has been solid for a laptop this powerful and size. The build feels premium but not bulky, and it’s thinner than you’d expect for a 17-inch laptop. Audio and video calls are another highlight — clear speakers, good camera quality, and the noise reduction actually works. Overall, very happy with both the laptop and the flexibility Best Buy offers with pickup options. If you want a powerful, large-screen laptop and the convenience of grabbing it in-store the same day, this one is a great choice.
