All In Ones are a nice choice as it takes up the space that just a monitor would. Other advantages are you don’t have to deal with a separate desktop/laptop and monitor but it’s not portable at 22 lbs. I have had 2 AIO’s and this is by far the best of the bunch starting with its functional design. Also, a major step up is it’s 32-inch 4k screen and dedicated GPU and NPU expanding it from functional work/business app processing to video editing and gaming and AI capabilities.
Setting up was very easy with minimal recyclable packing. Just screwed the base into the support arm which then clicked onto the back of the screen/computer while it was still in packing. Set on desk, plug in power cord and turn it on.
Processor is Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 155H (up to 4.8 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 24 MB L3 cache, 16 cores, 22 threads) with built in Integrated: Intel® Arc™ Graphics and NPU for AI.
2 SODIMM slots with (2) 16GB DDR5 Micron MTC 5600MHz memory. 32GB is considered more or less the sweet spot for editing/gaming.
953.86GB PCIe 4, WD PC SN560 M.2 SSD 2280 (?) hard drive. SDDPNQE-1T00-2006. Speed is about 75% of my WD SN850 used in my desktop I built.
The screen can be adjusted for height and does tilt up but not past 90% down, which is a tad dis-appointing – no swivel. But the screen is the star of the show with its 3840 x 2160 60Hz 4k UHD IPS IMAX enhanced, 10 bit, RGB, HDR anti-glare 550 nits (windows system info stated 687 nits) display. Rated 95% DCI-P3 – which I admit I had to look up. It has to do with color accuracy and fidelity. myHP app allows for system/audio/video adjustments and it is there you can control the brightness and display modes (neutral, warm, cool, HP enhanced, Native, sRGB(D65), BT709(D65) P3(D65). Along with the Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU (6GB GDDR) this all speaks to this unit raising the AIO bar as far as video editing and gaming. It looks fantastic and streaming 4K content is like being in the action. Downside is it’s not a touchscreen so no pen functionality as well - dis-appointing as all my other AOI’s were touchscreens.
One side back of screen has power connection, ethernet connector (10/100/1000/2500 GbE NIC), headphone/microphone jack. Other side has HDMI in 2.1 (great for connecting another computer for better resolution editing or possibly 4K blu-ray), HDMI 1.4 out (allows for multiple monitors), 1 USB-C (20Gbps – I would use this port if adding an additional dock), 2 USB-A (10Gbps). No SD slot – again dis-appointing.
The arm has built in USB-C (10Gps) and 2 USB-A (10Gbps) connectors, but lowering screen to lowest height kind of blocks easy access to them. Great design element.
5MP IR camera with temporal noise reduction and integrated dual array digital microphones. This pops up/down from top of unit which ensures better security – another nice design element. Included Poly Camera Pro software and AI for clear video/audio.
Omen Gaming Hub included for system tweaking for gaming, etc.
Intel® Wi-Fi 7 BE200 (2x2) and Bluetooth® 5.4 wireless connections.
Dual 2 W speakers; DTS:X® Ultra; Poly Studio. Which sound decent as they are down firing at base of screen. No real base to speak of but I have certainly heard worse.
280 W 80 Plus Platinum certified power supply
An HP 710 keyboard (small) and mouse (cheap comes to mind) are included and already synched to AIO. I easily added my “old” USB connected keyboard and mouse.
It is energy star certified and comes with 1 year warranty
Cinebench, PCMark10 and 3DMark tests I ran put it middle of the road as far as gaming.
I did have grandson try Java Minecraft and there were no stutters and colors popped. Same applied to my playing Automobilia 2 and Assetto Corso – no stuttering with 60 fps at 1080P. Editing old videos to upgrade quality, etc. worked very well as did cleaning up and converting old black/white pics to color. Office apps opened quickly as one would expect and multitasking was no problem with multiple windows/processes running. Having the NPU allowing running of Copilot and all the AI that allows is great too. Generating pictures, etc. works very quickly.
Dislikes;
No touchscreen/pen. No Thunderbolt connector(s). No indictor light that unit is on. No SD slot. Small (and I would say cheap) keyboard/mouse combo.
Unit is very quiet, and its black/silver design is sleek. The arm connections are very convenient and pop-up camera is nice for added security. The 4k screen is fantastic even not being a touchscreen. If you are looking for a sleek computer with a small footprint that can get things done, has built in NPU for Copilot AI this is worth a look and recommend at 4.5 stars.
