![Apollo Chamber Players Silverman Pamela Z Derhovsepian Petrosyan Hadadi Beglarian - With Malice - COMPACT DISCS [CD]](https://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/BestBuy_US/images/products/78cd2967-424f-45a0-9f46-3d2e9fda79fd.jpg;maxHeight=422;maxWidth=264?format=webp)
Anchored in an optimistic synthesis of classical, folk, rock and electronic music, With Malice Toward None elevates the idea of what it means to be human in the 21st century. Pamela Z artfully deconstructs her folk rock heroes while paying homage to youthful nostalgia and childhood songcraft, while Christopher Theofanidis and Mark Wingate partner to craft a jaggedly ethereal adaptation of poet Samuel Beckett's haunting final masterpiece. Eve Beglarian's epic Armenian fantasia (We Will Sing One Song) taps into the elemental desire to connect - it's yearning, duduk-inspired glissandi and enchanting melismas diverge and reunite as they crisscross digital soundscapes; virtuosic percussion improvisations lead to a place of sonic enlightenment. With tradition beckoning, newly arranged Armenian folk songs find their voice, over a century removed from ethnomusicological discovery. The album's titular track personifies the life of it's creator, weaving storytelling and social contradictions with Enlightenment calls to action and good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll. Communing with artists across the globe, Apollo Chamber Players expands it's bold take on our collective contemporary experience, innovating beyond the boundaries of time, place and pandemic. Album Tracks 1. With Malice Toward None 2. The Unraveling - 20X2020 No. 16 3. What Is the Word? - 20X2020 No. 11 4. Themes of Armenian Folksongs 5. We Will Sing One Song 20X2020 No. 19

African Jazz Roots - Seetu / Seetu is African Jazz Roots' most accomplished production. It's force is drawn from the demands of the most accomplished cross-cultural encounters. West Africa is one of the historic cradles of jazz, and it was there, in 2009, that Simon Goubert and Ablaye Cissoko met during the Saint-Louis jazz festival in Senegal. Two previously released albums bear witness to an already long history. This new one, so, is the fruit of ten years work, exchanges and friendships, punctuated by numerous concerts. It's the time it takes to build a strong identity. - InchSeetuInch is African Jazz Roots' most accomplished production, making the kora more modulative than it usually is. But the repertoire also draws resolutely on traditional Senegalese sources, with simple melodies, griot songs and pared-down ballads that are seized upon by high-flying improvisers in total connection. Far removed from folklorism, InchSeetuInch is a true musical experience. It's great emotional force is drawn from the demands of the most accomplished cross-cultural encounters. A furiously joyful, powerfully acoustic journey in which each of the protagonists finds his or her own space for expression, whether intimate or spectacular. Album Tracks 1. Seetu 2. La Langue de Barbarie 3. Reflexions Du Jour 4. Teunguene 5. Le Jour Des Regates 6. Manssani Cisse 7. D'une Evidence a L'autre 8. Goxumbaac 9. Sundjata 10. Cafe Touba
