I love this item, I use it for my window AC unit. Works with HomeKit too so I can use Siri or Alexa to turn this outlet on or off. I don't even have to be home to turn it on. The app is Free and works very well. The setup was super easy and took less than 5mins.

Easy to use with the iHome app, including turn in/off remotely.

This is one of the few Apple HomeKit-compatible outlets on the market that does not require a hub. You can control it over your home WiFi network, from an iPhone, using Apple's Home app. This characteristic, coupled with the device's low price, permits an economical yet powerful home automation installation. Optionally, keeping an iPad at home, or adding an Apple TV (the new 4K model or the prior 4th-generation one), lets you program events ("automations") and control the outlet remotely, when your iPhone is not on your home WiFi network. The manufacturer also provides a proprietary mobile app and an optional account service, allowing you to program events without using Apple HomeKit. Last but not least, the device reportedly supports home automation solutions from Google and Amazon. Having tried WiFi and Bluetooth outlets from two other manufacturers over the past two years, I found this one easier to set up. I installed the manufacturer's iOS app, scanned the unique code printed in the manual, and watched the app take control of the outlet and configure it for my WiFi network. The outlet soon showed up in Apple's Home app, and I've had no reason to return to the manufacturer's app. One thing that surprised me about this product is its high power rating. Some remote-control outlets support loads no larger than 500 Watts. This one can handle an 1800 W load, making it suitable for turning small kitchen appliances on and off. (A device plugged in to any remote-control outlet must have a manual, not electronic, on-off switch, or start itself automatically when power is applied.)

I love these plugs. They are the lowest priced option I have found. On top of that, they are extremely easy to set up and are very reliable. I use Smartthings and they work great, but as terrific bonus, they are Apple HomeKit compatible as well. So if you don't have a smart home hub, but do have an iPhone, you can easily use these.I just ask Siri to turn on my Christmas tree of I want it on other than its normal schedule.

After failing to set up on 6 tries, I learned to setup near your hub. I then easily setup 4 of them in about 10 minutes. Ihome app has some decent features like timer rules. (great for my window AC's) Once initially setup Alexa finds them without effort. All were voice controllable via Alexa within 20 seconds. This is a great alternative to the more expensive switches and doesn't block outlet like the older WEMO devices.

I bought this because I wanted a switched outlet that is compatible with both HomeKit and Wink. This one fits the bill. Setup was easy using the included instructions. Just be sure to connect to a 2.4GHz network first. Once configured, it is easily controlled via Homekit. I haven't configured any Homekit automations yet. I did configure some Wink Automations to allow this plug to follow another plug (i.e., if the other one turns on, this one turns on, if that one turns off, this one turns off). (The other plug came with a remote control) I have mostly used this for controlling holiday decorations (lighted pumpkins at Halloween and Christmas tree lights). So much easier than having to crawl under the tree and plug/unplug it! :-)

This little outlet was so easy to set up. I bought it because it was compatible with Apple's HomeKit. I didn't even have to download the manufacturer app - I just paired it with home kit and I can control it easily from my phone. Granted I don't have some of the more granular controls without the manufacturer app, but with HomeKit I'm able to set a schedule and turn it on and off as needed and that is all that I need from it.

Works well! Hooked up fast and Android App is easy to use. Used it with Alexa and a lamp. There have been a couple of times my command to turn on the light did not work but it did immediately afterwards. I would recommend this product. PS The lamp will not turn on if your wife turns it off at the switch. :-)

First smart home product. I use it for a lamp I have in the living room. Setup was simple and it works great with iPhones HomeKit. Only issue is that at times it just loses connection. When this happens I can’t switch the device using my phone I have to go and unplug it and plug it in again to reset it then it’ll work. It’s annoying but decent for right now. I live in a small apartment so I don’t need to go crazy but I wouldn’t buy this brand again because of how it keeps occasionally disconnecting. My router is a Verizon quantum router one of the best so I don’t know what’s wrong with it.

Bought this as an entry into smart homes. This was to control the Christmas lights outside. Setup was fairly easy and connecting to apple home was just as easy. So far I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it to others. Great price point as well.

Out of the various smart products I have bought, these are simple to set up and use. Also works well with automation inside of the app. Only challenge is my Smarthings Hub has challenges staying connected to these. I believe the issue here is more of a problems with the Samsung hub than it is for these plugs.

My first foray into smart home devices. Using Apple HomeKit to add the accessory was too easy. I can control the switch over cellular which means I am not required to be on the same WiFi network to see the status or change the switch by my iPhone 8. I never tried the iHome App as it wasn’t needed.

This product is quite amazing very easy to install love the fact that it works with home kit. And knows when I leave and return home so I save electricity by my electronics turning off when I’m not home and turning automatically back on when I am I think it’s pretty cool

I used this plug for a bedside lamp. It only took about 3 minutes to set up. It is a bit large compared to some competitor plugs I have bought in the past.

Building a smart home, I've experimented with a lot of plugs like this. Overall, I've found Koogeek to be my favorite. iDevices dropped connection to the point where automated events rarely performed when scheduled. iHome's smart plug is more akin with Kookgeek's in reliability. I replaced the iDevice with this one in my bathroom to turn on an electric radiator to heat it up before early morning showers. iHome has yet to fail me due to connectivity issues. This smart plug is rubberized and seemingly more rugged than the rest. I feel more comfortable with it in my bathroom and would choose it for other non-home indoor structures like garages or outbuildings. There is a button on the side where one can manually turn it on or off. By this button is an LED showing it's connected and another showing whether it's on or not. This is more or less useful depending on where it's plugged in and it's orientation. My only caveat from switching out the iDevice with this iHome switch is the former had a color changing nightlight which I LOVED. The LEDs on this switch sheds some light but it's not adequate. Other than that, this plug is superior in every way. All plugs mentioned work great with Apple's HomeKit yet none work with Amazon's Echo/Dot. iHome's plug is thin and fits into a wall socket well, not blocking the second plug. Two could possibly be used at the same time.

It works great and it's nice to have Alexa turn on the plug. It disconnects sometimes and then you have to reset it, which is frustrating.

I got two of these to use for house lights instead of traditional timers. They ahve been in use for 2-3 weeks so far. Both were easy to set up and add to the Apple Homekit. The units will only connect to a 2.4 GHz network, not a 5 GHz which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. You can turn the outlets on/off using the phone app, Homekit, or directly at the outlet using a button on the side.
