About this product
Imperial Wax are the surviving members of the last and longest running edition of legendary Manchester post-punk band The Fall. Their debut album is Gastwerk Saboteurs. As the core of The Fall drummer Keiron Melling, bassist Dave InchThe EagleInch Spurr and guitarist Pete Greenway served 11 years, recording six full-length studio albums with Mark E Smith. They recruited fellow Northerner Sam Curran as lead vocalist and second guitarist and dubbed the new act Imperial Wax (in honor of the first album they recorded with Smith, Imperial Wax Solvent). While assuredly reminiscent of The Fall, Gastwerk Saboteurs succeeds at blazing a new trail. Still dense, noisy and atheistic in regards to genre the approach is (slightly) more melodic and punk in vibe. Imperial Wax seem poised to join the canon of great Manchester-bred acts that includes Joy Division, Happy Mondays and The Buzzcocks.

Triple vinyl LP repressing of this 1998 album from the Metal maestros. Metallica is easily one of the best, most influential Heavy Metal bands of the '80s. Responsible for bringing the genre back to Earth, the bandmates looked and talked like they were from the street, shunning the usual rockstar games of Metal musicians during the early '80s. They expanded the limits of Thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions.

What if Ritchie Blackmore or Yngwie Malmsteen recorded a Black Metal album? The answer is 'Weihung Auf Satan'! Guitar Virtuoso and scene legend Toby Knapp (Onward, Where Evil Follows, Toby Knapp band, Godless Rising) returns with his cult project Waxen's third album, 'Weihung Auf Satan'. With 'Weihung Auf Satan' (German for Dedication to Satan) the masterful Knapp creates an entirely new Metal sub-genre - Shred Black Metal. Grimly layered guitar rhythms with malicious vocals are eclipsed by ripping solos that never overtake the songs as a whole. Knapp takes both Shred guitar and Black Metal to new heights, invoking another Masterpiece of Metal! Show your 'Weihung Auf Satan' and prepare to be shredded!
