In Celebration - BLU-RAY

An emotionally layered Scandinavian drama from director Joachim Trier, starring Renate Reinsve and Stellan Skarsgård, with Elle Fanning in a key supporting role. The film explores fractured family bonds, artistic obsession, and unresolved grief as a long estranged father attempts reconciliation while planning a deeply personal creative comeback.

Compelling and unsettling, independent filmmaker Bette Gordon's feminist-themed drama focuses on Christine (Sandy McLeod), a young woman who starts working as a ticket seller at a seedy Times Square adult theater and becomes increasingly enmeshed in the world of pornography and the theater's bizarre patrons. Will Patton, Richard M. Davidson, Luis Guzman, Nan Goldin also star; score by John Lurie. 97 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English; Subtitles English; audio commentary; photo gallery; storyboards; theatrical trailers; bonus short InchAnybody's WomanInch (1981).

L.A. bartenders and wannabe online auteurs Frankie (Maya Hawke) and Jake (Nat Wolff) think they've found their jackpot when they capture charismatic luddite activist Link (Andrew Garfield) going off on a captivated mall crowd. After the video goes viral and the trio set up a channel, the need to top themselves, the slickness of their handlers, and their triangular romantic tension mean there'll be unfollows to follow. Gia Coppola's satire co-stars Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Knoxville. 94 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
