The First Independence Day movie was to put simply...wayyyy more exciting, but seemingly less busy...enough to allow the story to flow. Making that enjoyable even through repetitive views. The second movie seemed to follow almost the same pattern as the first film...somewhat understandable. I am just happy that They made another Independence Day movie. Most Filmakers are afraid of making franchises with Prequels and-or Sequels...mainly..., because of budgets...and failing to satisfy the producers-investors of sorts and-or the Fans-The Audience. About not Living up-to the expectations that the First-The Original Release set forth with possible would-be expectations. So gambling with the idea that people will like the sequel-or-prequel is at times more appreciated that They had made the effort than not. Sometimes people wait too long to do such things that some of the original Cast or Crew refuse to cooperate in Sequels or Prequels. Other times They can not, because of prior commitments...or that They are No Longer amongst the Living for offering a helping hand. I like the movie...i would recommend people who have watched the First Independence Day movie...to watch this movie at least once ...to get an understanding of the direction that people had chosen the movie to continue into.

The ability to purchase both movies at one time at an excellent price was amazing. Our original copy of the first would no longer play and we had been looking for a replacement for quite some time and fit the bill perfectly getting both for the price of one. The movies themselves are great

So I bought the 2-movie pack because I thought it was a better deal between buying the movies separately. If you read the back of the box, it says it has all the same featurettes as buying the separate movie sets. I figured great, save some money. Unfortunately when I got home and opened it, I instead found out that some of the listed featurettes were on a second disc..which each movie does not have. The box listing is literally a copy of each original box's content listing, down to the "2-disc" per movie. There is only one Blu-ray Disc per movie and therefore only half the featurettes listed on physical disc. The only reason I gave it 4 stars with this information is because the Digital Copy through VUDU gave me access to not only both movies but also full access to all featurettes in digital format. As for the movies themselves, one is a 90s classic which I remember seeing in theatres when it originally came out. If you watch it nowadays, the CG and special effects are obvious and bad when compared to what's put out - particularly its sequel. But for back then it was amazing, with a good story (albeit slightly implausible physics). The sequel does justice to the original, set 20 years later and with an equally good story. If you like sci-fi, this should be something you see at least once.

Got this for $10! Both movies look great in Blu Ray and Digital. Digital Copy crosses over to iTunes, Movies Anywhere, and VUDU platforms. Must buy. The first movie is a classic! The second movie is cheesy, but it's as entertaining as I remember it.

Great movie I have not watched the second one yet but the two movie set was cheaper than the first one by itself.

Great direction and special effects. The actors were great and were serious at times yet funny at others.

Always fun watching the first ID movie over and over again! I like the suspense and build-up. The sequel, not so much. I found it too over-dramatic. Therefore, these two movies would be better off if sold or bought separately.

The original Independence Day movie is excellent as a sci fi movie and as a fun experience. The sequel had a very good movie to follow so it was a bit of a letdown bun it is fun nonetheless.

Nothing wrong with the 2 movie set at all but I liked the first movie much better than the second one.

Found this on sale for $9.99. It was a great price for the movie "Independence Day" and its sequel. I had never seen "Resurgence" before. It made for an economical movie night at home.

I watched the first movie on the edge of my seat like I did many years ago. Was so happy to find this 2 pack. The sequel was ok I guess, worth watching but seems like they tried to hard to mimic the original.

The original movie came out some time ago and I was a fan. I don't normally like sci-fi movies but this one was good. Then some years later and it did not disappoint. Good sequel!

I had the first Independence Day movie on DVD. This version had the new movie on Blu Ray and also included the 1st movie in Blu Ray also. The price was a good bargain also.

Very good reproductions. But somehow audio cuts out from time to time very annoying, paly back same place second time and did not skip. Very good graphics.

The first is one of my favorite modern movies and never saw the second, and just got a Blu-ray player, so this was a true bonus. Very happy w/purchase!

I really like both movies. I have the original movie on DVD and wanted a Blu-Ray version. Getting both movies on Blu-Ray was a big plus.

Great price for both movies. I purchased it primarily for the digital copies, so I like that they were both packaged in a slim case.

Get bundle deal. The HD version of ID4 is great. Nicely remastered to 1080p. Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum are always a treat to watch.

This is both indepence day movies for one low price both are good to watch as well and both come with a digital copy

This movie is even better in Blu Ray. I owned the DVD version, the upgrade to bluray makes all the difference.
