About this product
Limited clear yellow vinyl LP pressing. InchEverything has to be said. Inch This is the conviction guiding Indigo de Souza's sophomore album, Any Shape You Take. This dynamic record successfully creates a container for the full spectrum-pushing through and against every emotion InchI wanted this album to give a feeling of shifting with and embracing change. These songs came from a turbulent time when I was coming to self-love through many existential crises and shifts in perspective. Inch Faithful to it's name, Any Shape You Take changes form to match the tenor of each story it tells. InchThe album title is a nod to the many shapes I take musically. I don't feel that I fully embody any particular genre-all of the music just comes from the universe that is my ever-shifting brain/heart/world,Inch says Indigo. This sonic range is unified by Indigo's strikingly confessional and effortless approach to songwriting, a signature first introduced in her debut, self-released LP, I Love My Mom. Written in quick succession, Indigo sees these two records as companion pieces, both distinct but in communion with each other InchMany of the songs on these two records came from the same season in my life and a certain version of myself which I feel much further from now. Limited red colored vinyl LP pressing. Includes . 2023 . InchI was finally able to trust myself fully,Inch says Indigo de Souza of making her masterful third album All of This Will End. Across 11 it's songs, the LP is a raw and radically optimistic work that grapples with mortality, the rejuvenation that community brings, and the importance of centering yourself now. These tracks come from the most resonant moments of her life childhood memories, collecting herself in parking lots, the ecstatic trips spent wandering Appalachian mountains and southern swamps with friends, and the times she had to stand up for herself. InchAll of This Will End feels more true to me than anything ever has,Inch she says. In many ways, All of This Will End has become a personal motto for Indigo. InchEvery day I wake up with the thought that this could be the end,Inch she says. InchYou could look at it as a sad thing, or you could look at it as a really precious thing Today I'm alive and at some point, I will not be in this body anymore. But for now, I can do so much with being alive.Inch There's a peacefulness in acceptance throughout. As she sings on the title track, InchI'm only loving only moving through and trying my best / Sometimes it's not enough but I'm still real and I forgive.Inch She describes the experience of writing this song as Inchmagic,Inch as if everything about it from the words and melody had felt timeless and intangible and that she was just writing it down. Like the hues of reds and oranges that her mother painted on the LP cover, All of This Will End marks a warmer and unmistakably audacious era for her. It's a statement about fearlessly moving forward from the past into a gratitude-filled present, feeling it all every step of the way, and choosing to embody loving awareness.
