I recently tried the Insignia Cat 8 Ethernet cable, and overall I’ve had a good experience with it. I’m currently using it for my home server, and performance has been very solid with fast, stable connectivity and no issues so far. My main downside is the physical design. The cable is noticeably thicker and heavier than other Ethernet cables I’ve used, which makes it harder to route through tighter spaces or cleaner setups where flexibility matters. That said, since it’s a Cat 8 cable, the thicker build is somewhat expected. Cat 8 cables are usually more heavily shielded to support higher speeds and reduce interference, so they tend to be bulkier than Cat 5e, Cat 6, or even some Cat 6a cables. For the price point, though, it’s hard to complain too much. It offers strong performance at a reasonable cost, especially if you need a reliable connection for demanding setups like servers, gaming, or high-speed networking. Overall, this is a solid Ethernet cable that performs well, but if flexibility and easier cable management are important to you, there may be better options available.

TL;DR: It works fine. I'm no "expert" so some might gasp atbwhat I am about to say. The cable is THICK and there's copper plating. I only needed a Cat 6 for now but I am ready to shift to Cat 8 when the time comes. I still got the same results as if I used a cat 6 ethernet cable. No problems so far

Great transfer speeds

This a really thick cable compared with my older cat 5 cables. I'm able to transfer files much quicker now with my newer router and this cable.
